So Snowden is a Russian agent and lied about the NSA?

Why then has the NSA admitted so many instances of wrong doing themselves?

Is the NSA a Russian agency as well???

Actually, as the comment on the site said, the article sounds like it’s NSA disinformation to discredit Snowden.

>>In other words, Putin lied. <<

That what Intel people do for a living. From the President on down the list. If Snowden is working for Russia then we have some folks in our offices who didn’t do a good job of vetting him.

According to the article it seems it was a KGB classic disinfnormation operation. It may be the best spy thriller to date, and citizens are the “targets”.
The author’s name is below or comment on the web page.

The Washington Post reports that “Before American fugitive Edward Snowden arrived in Moscow in June—an arrival that Russian officials have said caught them by surprise—he spent several days living at the Russian Consulate in Hong Kong, a Moscow newspaper reported Monday.”

In other words, the Russians were in on the deception all along. It was an example of what the old Soviet KGB called “disinformation.” The Russians wanted people to believe that Snowden was a whistleblower desperately searching for a place to go.

I thought it was to discredit Putin as he seems to be more popular these days than Obama..especially when he is urging the US to put on the brakes regarding bombing Syria until the UN Investigators finish.

LOL! ""The Washington Post" - which NEVER seems to find stuff like Barry Obama making a pilgrimage to the Gay Capital of Pakistan back in the gay day...

So why send Snowden to Venezuela? If the Russians are trumpeting this as a successful spy op, then why not hail him as a state hero and give him the perks he has “earned” rather than packing him off to Chavez’s cronies?

So far, I’m not buying this new information.

Ah yes, that explains why the NSA confessed, they’re in on the deception.
