Who benefits from this assertion.....Obama looks less culpable because a nation-state has been identified as the principal offender.....not just a low-level staff member of the NSA.

Too little, too late. I don't believe a thing this government says. There are only assertions, no proof.

This fiction comes from the bowels of the obama political machine....probably axlerod.

Tsarnaev brothers were probably Russian agents which would explain why the attacked the USA instead of attacking Russia, their supposed enemy.

Ah yes, that also explains why the Russians specifically warned us about them repeatedly.

Interestingly enough, no one seems to be saying that...

Allegedly.

Who made this allegation? Nobody knows. They chose to remain anonymous.

The FBI said they were asked for information about Tamerlane Tsarnaev in 2011 by a foreign government, but when the FBI asked for more information about him, they did not receive it.

Why not?

Tsarnaev traveled to Russia in 2012. If the Russia knew he was an extremist, why did they allow him to travel to and from Russia?

Some liberals are waking up. Progressive analyst Spandan Chakrabarti writes, “Curious choice, don’t you think, for the paragon of government transparency to show up and seek help from one of the most secretive, pro-spying, anti-free speech and anti-free press governments on earth?

He's describing the US. Of course, after Nork, Chicom and a bunch of Mozlem countries. But at this point, Russia has much more freedom of speech and press than the US.

I read that Russia offered the info to the US and the FBI didn’t care or respond or something similar.

That's funny, because the FBI said they asked for the information, but received no response.

The Russians were probably just trying to find out what we knew about their agent, if anything.

While in Russia, Tsarnaev may have met with a militant named Abu Dujana, who was killed by the Russians in a raid months later. The Russians probably sent Tsanaev to spy on Abu Dujana, perhaps feeding them information that led to his termination.

Thanks to you two for setting out such salient points.

Big fan of Trevor Louden (even had a very brief correspondence with him a while back about the 2nd Amendment). He has done yeoman’s work of great magnitude in these matters.

LOL

if true, imagine... all that information gathering to spot terrorists and other baddies...

and they couldn’t find one walking in their front door.

maybe, juuuuuust maybe they should’ve spent less time targeting TEA party patriots and focus on those intent on espionage and terror

if that’s the NSA’s idea of disinformation... to paint themselves as unable to discern good from bad in their own lobby while crediting the russians with a very successful infiltration... then they need to revisit the goals of disinformation

I thought it was to discredit Putin as he seems to be more popular these days than Obama..especially when he is urging the US to put on the brakes regarding bombing Syria until the UN Investigators finish.

i'm 100% certain that, if true, this would have the opposite effect.

Putin would be regarded as being an effective operator and has the inside knowledge about the US that the UN should listen to

we've got stoned adolescents running this country

> Actually, as the comment on the site said, the article sounds like it’s NSA disinformation to discredit Snowden.

Thats what it sounds like to me as well.

> Syria is the current target for “new world order” assimilation and, as usual, the American side of the financial establishment wants to put the US military machine to the task of installing a leadership of their own choosing, probably either of a US or European businessman who is one of their loyal minions

Funny you should say that. I keep hearing that AntiChrist will be of European descent. Hmmm...
