Guess Which Texas Billionaire Just Donated $1 Million to Planned Parenthood

Plutocrat and former third party presidential candidate Ross Perot donated $1 million to Planned Parenthood of Texas, to help fill the gap left by the state’s defunding of the Women’s Health Program.

“For nearly 100 years Planned Parenthood has helped to educate men and women regarding family planning and general family health,” said Margot Perot, speaking for the Perot Foundation of Dallas. “Our family has supported this nonprofit for many years because we are impressed with the work they do—providing birth control; scientifically based education; breast health exams; and basic, life-saving healthcare for women who cannot afford services otherwise.”

In 2012, Texas passed a law denying funds from the Woman’s Health Program, a Medicaid program that services many underprivileged women in the state, to clinics that provide abortions. But while the Hyde Amendment already prohibits government money from being used for abortions, federal law also does not allow states to refuse money to clinics that perform the service. When Texas Governor Rick Perry refused to back down on the issue, the federal government yanked its (massive) share of the funding to the WHP, stopping an estimated $40 million to women’s health clinics in the state.

Gee! Think of the number of conservatives who actually voted for this man for president.

Those conservatives who actually vote for anyone other than the GOP anointed candidate are blamed for them losing. And after every loss conservatives scream that they'll never allow the GOP to cram another elite faux conservative down their throat. Yet we don't close our primaries, keep reelecting the same stuffed suits and don't run non insane candidates to replace them.

Cannibalize. Rinse. Repeat.

And we let piss-ant states decide our nominees before they even get to the big states, like Texas and California.

"Perot a racist? Disproportionate number killed will be African American."

70% of all Black pregnancies end in abortion.

If you go back to the early 1970s you will see that the super rich and intellectual elites were behind abortion because of (1) concern about overpopulation and (2) the large number of children had by minorities and people the elites feared. Perot is of that time as is Buffett, whom I was told was a big supporter of population control and Planned Parenthood. I recently spoke with a Dem, former head of a govt social services agency who was fretting over whether Buffett would continue his funding of this type of thing. It is an elitist thing.

Perot was pro-abortion and rabidly anti-gun.

This is consistent with his Malthusian-Guttmacher opposition to immigration, NAFTA, etc.

(rewritten for accuracy)

Plutocrat and former third party presidential candidate Ross Perot donated $1 million to Planned Parenthood of Texas, to help abort the babies of the poor people he despises, especially the colored ones.

“For nearly 100 years Planned Parenthood has helped to eradicate the colored menace and societies failures,” said Margot Perot, speaking for the Perot Foundation of Dallas. “Our family has supported this nonprofit for many years because we are impressed with the work they do in reducing the profligate numbers of colored people and other trash.”

In tax year 2011 the Perot Foundation gave a total of $18,197,539 to various charities and
organizations. I don’t know the number for 2012 as the tax return isn’t posted on the net as of yet.

The donations were to a variety of groups including: Military, Goodwill, Salvation Army, Church
groups, Medical Research, Museums, and lots of other groups. The largest was a $5,000,000
donation to the Dallas Opera.

It appears the Perot Foundation supports lots of differing groups through their donations regardless
of political ideology or personal faith.

Click the following link and scroll down to page 23 for the listing of donations given in 2011.

This is rich. How many “pro-lifers” voted for this worm over GHWB in ‘92, ushering in the Clinton era?

I have to count my late, ardently pro-life mother among them. Tolja, ma!

Maybe if GHWB campaigned like he actually cared, it wouldn’t have come to that.

To some extent you are probably right. GHWB, despite his move to and many years living in TX, was still very much the proper old-fashioned New England Episcopalian. Not a Clinton/Carville/Forehead-style guttersnipe.

Had ‘92 been one-on-one, GHWB would have been re-elected. Perot took mostly from Bush and made it very personal vs. GHWB in that race. Slick didn’t get a majority in either his ‘92 or ‘96 race.
