I’m not sure but think you’re asserting Cruz birther threads will be frowned upon henceforth.

Every argument on either side has be made and repeated ad nauseum, with no sense of agreement that either side is right. Every additional thread will bring out the same arguments from the same people with the same results and even more time and energy wasted. One can only hope that this will eventually die down, and people will focus on the real problems at hand.

This country is in serious trouble. Cruz might be our only hope. I'm not about to throw away this chance, maybe our only chance to find a way out of this mess, because Cruz doesn't exactly match what the founders envisioned for the leader of this country.

You have to wonder what the purity police that are willing to toss Cruz aside would have said about Reagan. He was a former DemocRat, and a union guy. Would they have called him a RINO, and tossed him aside too?

Right now, I don't see anyone else waiting in the wings who will be able to do what needs to be done. Palin, perhaps, but she doesn't seem interested in the job. I don't even know if Cruz can do it, but I just don't see anyone else who comes close.

We need to stop the petty bickering and go forward.

Great post, Jim! I am very proud to be on board this train. The ride won't be easy or boring, that's for sure, but the destination is Liberty, U.S.A.!!

Currently Jim deMint and Ted Cruz’s dad are on a speaking tour around the country.

They are drawing pretty big crowds (about 1000 or so).

If you go to one, you will find that compared to his dad, Ted Cruz is a liberal rino.

For that matter, compared to Cruz’s dad, Jim DeMint and Sarah Palin are liberal rinos.

I think HeritageAction.com is the website. I think they will be very effective with their sentinel program. And Heritage foundation, has big money and good connections to mainstream republicans.

Free Republic may want to look to them for collaboration.

Not my cup of tea. And I am sorry to say this but the people who go to this events like Palin, but still think she is not intellectually up to the challenge of Potus or Vice Potus.

And I agree.

“The RINOs in washington have probably already chosen our candidate for us.”

No, the party still votes in primaries and caucuses.

The republican party is a party of traditionalists that likes experience and a resume. Just for fun, compare, Obamas’ resume vs. Clinton, Kerry, Dukakis or Mondale and you find Obama to be sorely lacking and it shows.

If you want a right wing conservative elected, please have the candidate have experience and a resume like Reagan’s.

Sorry, but Palin’s resume is too thin to be like Reagan.

Mr. Robinson, I just want to say thank you for creating and providing this gathering place. It has been a haven for me these last 15 (?!?!) years, through many ups and downs, highs and depressions. God bless the Republic and may God bless you, sir!

Sarah says she’s on team Rand.

Please...She said that because it was no other choice!!! That was christie against Rand Paul. Please...that is exactly the type of perverse remark that hurts Sarah - may be you don't do it intentionally but...we don't need that. When talking about Sarah try to make sure you are always into the context of her words - or that hurts her. We need to fight for her more than ever now. She counts on us but if she does not see us fight she won't move. That's probably what happened in 2012 - everybody gave up on her and went to romney...what 's the point for her to risk her family and all if We The People are not able to fight as strong as she does!

That distills the problems I have with those threads very well. Wasted, misguided energy.

Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz are two of the strongest tea party leaders stepping forward to-date. If either one of these two patriots decides to run for the presidency, I'm sure he or she will be the strongest conservative running and this site will support him or her to the HILT. And I'm sure the vast majority of the grassroots patriot tea party movement will be right there with us.

Those who wish to torpedo their chances, thereby allowing the socialists and statists free reign to continue destroying our freedom, our liberty, our traditional American way of life, and our very right to survive as a free nation are certainly free to do so--somewhere else. Not on FR. We're not going to repeat the last two election cycles. McCain/Romney is the end of the GOP-e RINO train!! NO MORE!!

And no buts!

Obama’s two election victories have mooted the original constitutional clause of any president must be a “natural born” citizen. We are stuck with the present definition allowing eligibility for anyone with one foreign parent-baby born on US soil or baby born abroad and brought back here by the citizen parent for the term of some years[10?].

Obama’s fake birth certificate lists Hawaii and Cruz was back in the US as a child. Cruz is filing paperwork to be delisted as a potential Canadian. I’d vote for Cruz if he ran as the one foreign parent & born abroad is not a bar.

Cruz seems the best conservative hope. Don’t let the RNC & RINOs mess it up.
