I’m totally ready for Texas to secede! My frustration has almost reached a tipping point. The only bright point of light left is Ted (the Missile) Cruz!

Yes indeed, was hoping that WY would jump on that wagon. Yes and Cruz is Tea Party, not a traitor Republican. I sent both Senators an email advising of my dissatisfaction with the Party and Government as a whole. I have said it before, Washington needs cleansed in the worst way.

The evidence isn't there...and Boehner foolishly supports it?!

This is an ego trip for the Clown, John. Don't be stupid.

"If its not an existential crisis threatening the nation, we simply cannot afford it. We are broke."

But, if some other entity (Saudi) is willing to pay you big money to see that things changed in Syria, Obama might have gone along with it.

Maybe it IS about the Benjamins - and we have out-of-this-world debt and deficit that we can't get out of - unless a fairy godmother or fairy godfather comes along and helps US out.

US could use a little spending money to get economy back on track.

We'll call it "Saudi Stash".

"One thing that no one is speaking about: This is all about Russia's monopoly on European natural gas and the desire of the Arab states to break into that market. It has NOTHING to do with chemical weapons, Iran's nuke, or the continued existence of Israel. It's all about the Benjamins."

That's what I'm wondering, too.

Putin is not for war - he wants to keep the monopoly and keep the Arabs out.

Just wonderin'..............

"I believe the scenario is all about gold, tons of it, in the hands/control of Assad that other persons want."

Transfer of money to US is looking more and more like the issue and the rest is just smokescreen.

I'm thinking of Syrian gold and Saudi gold for B. Hussein O. if he will mix it up a little bit in Syria. Syrian gold would be forthcoming from the rebels after over throwing Assad.

B. Hussein O. keeps talking about a limited excursion - a war of days. That might be all he has to do in order to get the $$$.

This whole mess started when the idiot peanut farmer in the WH allowed the Shah of Iran (who BTW had good relations with Israel) to fall.

Putin and the ayatollahs will never allow the rebels to stay in power. WWIII will ensue.

Remember, it was the RUSSIANS who originally destabilized Iran, trying to get control of a Blue-Water port.

The good news is, after Obama (and now Boehner, too) start World War III, there will be no human life left on the planet Earth.
GREAT GOING, GUYS!

Maybe it won't be quite that bad.

Russia has been pretty reasonable in recent years. Maybe they will just vaporize the D.C. metro area, and leave the rest of the world alone.

Everyone should get one oops, dontcha think?

Fully Agree with all said in your post hummingbird.

Two or Three days ago, I actually thought there was a chance to stop this insanity. I was wrong and should have known I was wrong then. Nothing has mattered since President Reagan left office to those ruling the People. The People have not been represented since that time of Former President Reagan.

I hate I was wrong and thought there was a chance to stop this insanity. I really believed in the power of the People! When the People are ignored, tyranny rules. No doubt the People are being ignored.

Just a fed up lurker here...

My message sent to my state and the national GOP parties:

“Just letting you know that I will no longer be voting republican in any future elections. I have long suspected that the GOP does not represent my conservative views (healthcare, immigration, bailouts) but with the news today that our House Leader will vote for a war that has nothing to do with America’s interests, I have changed my political affiliation for voting and I am done with the GOP.”

God bless and God help us.

Exactly!
I beginning to think this is the most brilliant Political Ploy by Obama EVAH! Suck the Republicans in and then leave them hanging. The RNC should have learned something from Iraq. You can’t engage in any type of conflict with the ‘Progressives’!

Some day folks, you will all finally come to see there is no real difference in ANYONE that is inside that beltway. Congress, White House, gov jobs, Pentagon, whatever, they are all the same. In it for themselves, PERIOD!!!! Screw everyone else outside the beltway. It is as simple as that! End of statement.

Ugh. So lemme get this straight. The democrat party spent from 2000 until 2006 demonizing Bush and the Republican party as the party of warmongering and lying about or exaggerating the dangers of the use of WMD’s. The democrat party rode, yes rode this very issue to power. Now it is the democrat party with a democrat POTUS who want to ride us to war and the Republican’s response is to give them cover!!? Really!?!

Really, did anyone think the GOP would go against this? After the first few days, it seemed obvious. It is either due to defense contractors, Israel, wanting to look tough to rubes, or cowardice, or... There’s a thousand reasons why they would want to do this.
