Hezbollah said to mobilize troops ahead of possible showdown

Hezbollah has reportedly redeployed its forces throughout the region ahead of a possible US strike against the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad — a longtime ally of the Lebanon- based Shiite terror group.

Members of Hezbollah have “disappeared” from villages across Lebanon, AFP reported Tuesday, citing Lebanese media and witnesses. The report noted that Hezbollah fighters in strongholds along the coast, in the Bekaa valley, near the Syrian border and in southern Beirut had left town, with many turning off their cellphones to avoid being tracked.

While security measures remain in place, checkpoints around the terror group’s nerve center in the capital are now being manned by teenagers instead of regular Hezbollah fighters, the news agency said.

Witnesses in the area around Tyre told AFP there appeared to be a general mobilization of Hezbollah members in the area. On Monday the Arabic daily Al-Akhbar, a paper considered close to both Assad’s regime and Hezbollah, said the group “called on all its officers and members to man their positions.”

The “Syrian army has mobilized units” which had not yet taken part in the civil war, Al-Akhbar reported, drawing an image of drastic changes not only by Hezbollah but also by Assad’s regime. The two have “established an operations room” with representatives from both fighting forces, it said.

Heck..this makes the Bay Of Pigs look like a high school dance.

If this chemical bombing can be proved to be done by Assad..show the proof. Sadly, after Benghazi I wouldn’t believe it anyway.

If this is about saving face...just say so.

We don’t have them to use. We’ve been destroying our stockpiles, per treaty, and have gotten rid of almost all our chem weapons.

Our official stated policy is “if you slime us we nuke you”.

So, if Syria loses some of that nerve agent we are now sure they have in the confusion after we blast Syria, and a terrorist group that uses it on a US target, who does Obama nuke then?

We won’t even be able to do that, as Obama is determined to get rid of our nuke stockpiles as well.

If a group uses weapons or executes military or political policy, it is as a proxy of a bigger state. The pecking order in the Middle East is Iran who is allied with Syria and Hezbollah and AQ. Over 50 of the originating Al Qaeda families lived in the City of QOM, Iran and several other cities. Of course Iran is under the umbrella of Russia as is Syria. Germany sends Iran the nuclear centrifuges so politically-economically this issue transcends the US allies and weakens and sanctions.

To answer the question clearly, the US would hold the Russia's responsible behind closed doors, thus the protracted negotiated public wrangling over US insistence to punish Syria. Israel has also stated over the years that if a proxy group (terrorist organization) attacks them that they would escalate up to the sponsoring states, and in the case of nuclear all the way to capital cities in the west and east....
