A new video uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday shows a professor at a public university slamming Republicans as old, white individuals who want to keep black people from voting.

The eight minute video, released by college news outlet Campus Reform, reveals Michigan State University Professor of Creative Writing William Penn opening the first day of class with an anti-Republican rant.

“If you go to the Republican convention in Florida, you see all of the old Republicans with the dead skin cells washing off them,” said Penn. “They are cheap. They don’t want to pay taxes because they have already raped this country and gotten everything out of it they possibly could.”

“They don’t want to pay of your tuition because, who are you? Well to me you are somebody,” he continued.

Penn then appeared to accuse the Republican party of backing voter identification laws as a plan for “getting black people not to vote.”

“This country still is full of closet racists,” he said. “What do you think is going on in South Carolina and North Carolina. Voter suppression. Its about getting black people not to vote. Why? Because black people tend to vote Democratic.”

"what is creative?"

Exactly. He's merely mouthing what most college lib arts profs believe. He should still be fired, but I'll give him credit for blowing off and letting us know what a jerk he is.

I got this in my email today. I've crossed paths with Melanie Foster and Jeff Sakwa in the past. They are good people who received my vote and will do so again.

----------------------------------

Melanie Foster and Jeff Sakwa, candidates for Michigan State University Board of Trustees, released the following joint statement today:

News broke this morning of a Michigan State University professor who went off on a political rant during his first day of class. The full video, which can be found online by clicking here, shows Professor William Penn telling students "If you go to the Republican convention in Florida, you see all of the old Republicans with the dead skin cells washing off them." He went on to say, "They're cheap. They don't want to pay taxes because they have already raped this country and gotten everything out of it they possibly could." Professor Penn further stated that Republicans are, "a bunch of dead white people, or dying white people."

While Professor Penn is certainly entitled to his personal opinions, the classroom is not the place for him to be airing his political views. The students at MSU need to be focused on preparing themselves for their future professions, not on the political opinions of their professors.

It is imperative that the Board of Trustees at MSU take this matter seriously. We call for Michigan State University to complete a full and fair investigation into this matter to ensure that the classroom does not become a platform for political propaganda. We will be watching what happens with this incident to ensure that the University takes the appropriate actions.

It is incidents like this, among many others, that have inspired both of us to run once again for the Michigan State University Board of Trustees. We need to bring a common sense, conservative voice to this overwhelmingly liberal board to ensure that all points of view are represented.

Melanie Foster
Trustee Emeritus
Candidate for MSU Trustee

Jeff Sakwa

“The end of our people, and hence our nation, is a lot more consequential (like, a LOT more) than the end of the GOP, which is, thank God, at hand.”

I agree, but the end of our people isn’t so far off. It isn’t even a violent end; just a passing through with fewer and fewer children until there are no more.

This jerk is just ridiculous. He has no business talking politics, especially in such a sharp partisan manner, in a creative writing class. He's wasting the students' time and money and, even worse, brainwashing some of them, and abusing his position in order to do so. Of course, he's not the first, nor will he be the last leftist professor to launch into one of these uncalled for diatribes in an American college classroom.

May be surprised, but I kind of doubt if any discipline against him will be forthcoming from MSU.

Did anyone notice the name William Penn? This could be an alias he uses to give himself a bogus connection to a historical figure.

Right after the 2012 election I published a video of someone asking basic civic questions of students in line to vote in Boston MA, yes the education mecca of the world, on my facebook wall. An Informed Electorate? You Won’t Believe How Little These Young Voters Know About Our Gov’t

"The dumbing down of America is complete. Note this video was taken in Boston, the education mecca of the world!" is what I wrote over the link when I posted the video.

Then one of my liberal "friends" post this image with the comment, "sorry, had to share..."

And my wife took care of the rest.

If you look at exit poll data from the last election (for whatever it's worth in terms of accuracy), you will see that college grads (no advanced degree) did vote for Romney in a higher percentage that those with only a HS diploma or no HS diploma. So that trend contradicts the conclusion one might draw from your table. However, those with advanced degrees went more for Obama than those with only a bachelor's degree.

Sorry, I don't recall the source of the exit poll data but I trust my memory of the data itself.

I had an English prof in College just like this guy. I was conservative at the time as were several others in the class. I kept my mouth shut, and didn’t share my politics, infact, I made the guy think I was a lefty like him over beers. I’m sorry I have no remorse. I needed an A from him and I got it. The guys who spoke up against the guy were deemed racist by him and they virtually all got Fs onthe first paper. they quickly dropped the guy’s class.

I’m sure the same thing is happening in his class.

“This country still is full of closet racists,” he [Penn] said. “What do you think is going on in South Carolina and North Carolina. Voter suppression. Its about getting black people not to vote. Why? Because black people tend to vote Democratic.”

That kind of "racism" rant against voter ID laws has become repeated ad nauseum from the left.

It so happens that a large majority of black voters indicate that they favor voter ID laws whenever and wherever that question is asked by pollsters.

Penn must think he knows more than those black voters do about alleged "racially-motivated suppression" of the black vote. Or, more likely, he despises voter ID simply because the more honest the election procedure, the more likely his 'Rats are to lose.

I really wish someone would have asked Penn if the proposed voter ID laws only pertain to blacks. It would have taken the rest of his speech in a hilarious direction since most 'Professors' don't like to be challenged. In fact, he had already started to lose it when he saw a smirk on one student's face.

“This country still is full of closet racists,”

I assume he is speaking of white people, after all they were the majority demographic that voted in 2008.
But I am having a hard time seeing where the racism is!< /sarc >

2008 VOTING DEMOGRAPHIC BY RACE
All Voters % of Total Obama McCain
White 74% 43% 55%
Blacks 13% 95% 4%
Hispanics 9% 67% 31%
Asians 2% 62% 35%
Other 6% 66% 31%

I know I saw a thread that mentioned it, but Penn is no longer teaching, lol. Still getting paid though - just like every government worker that messes up!! O’Reilly had the college boy that made the video, on his show tonight.

Sometimes you can’t get into your first choice section because its full and have to settle for another. Sometimes people have scheduling conflicts. A class may be an elective but a pre-requisite for other classes. You may need so many credits of something and your preferred choices aren’t feasible. Some students are also going to be assigned this guy as an advisor.
