I may be wrong, but it was my impression that he was talking about obama.

Everything I ever learned, which was worth learning, I learned from folks older than me.

******************************

Me, too. When did older people become the object of scorn in this country?

You gave yourself away with the “W.” If that wasn’t enough, the listing of your degees and being a vegetarian in your about page.

Only a lib would fallaciously “feel” a listing of his degrees would be impressive.

You still play ASL (1985) and accuse others of being elderly and serious? Are you posting from a library?

Personally I prefer SPWAW Gen ed. on Windows 7. Otherwise it’s PGII via a WXP vm.

“...When did older people become the object of scorn ...”

Right around the time of “Never Trust Anyone Over 30...” When our Marxist cultural revolution was already underway in the 60s and 70s.

Here’s a good read on it: “The Revolution Was”

Thanks for another look at the interfighting among the insane Muslims involved in Syria:

the “newly elected” Syrian opposition leader is Ahmad Jabar-leader of tribe with affiliations in Saudi Arabia (all in the family)

The Syrian “civil war” has become a proxy war between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Assad linked to Iran, chose...unwisely...especially if the Russians decide a new deal with the Saudis can be balanced with their interests in Iran

obowma’s outstanding chits to the Saudis (US debt and political support) have been called - or perhaps new ones have been issued

obowma the past few weeks became desperate to commit the US to the Saudi side in this proxy war. US military attacks funded by Saudi money.... what could possibly go wrong

"The Great Depression as it developed here was such an opportunity as might have been made to order. The economic distress was relative, which is to say that at the worst of it living in this country was better than living almost anywhere else in the world. The pain, nevertheless, was very acute; and much worse than any actual hurt was a nameless fear, a kind of active despair, that assumed the proportions of a national psychosis."

The Revolution Was
by Garet Garrett

The above strikes me as similar to what we are currently facing in this country.

Someone posted today ( I can't remember his name) that he believed that obama was going to use WW3 to declare himself president/dictator for life. I could see that being his goal.

Look at what happened with FDR because of WW2. If he hadn't passed away, who knows what the end result would have been?

Then you would see Civil War part Deux. Without doubt.

FDR, love him or hate him, had the benefit of a united country behind him, bound together by common culture, and an implacable enemy in the form of Nazi Germany and the Imperial Japanese Empire.

This assclown does not. There are few people who believe there is anything in Syria worth the sacrifice of American youth.

I’m not a big FDR fan to say the least.

Having said that, Obama isn’t worthy to shine FDR’s shoes.

When George W. was president, I remember him visiting Europe for either a G8 or G20 conference or some such thing.

On the television news at the time, they showed George W. walking behind Ms. Merkel....she was seated at a table.

When a smiling George W. walked behind Merkel, he reached over and briefly massaged her shoulders and then kept walking. Merkel turned around, and jokingly “put up her dukes” and pretended to fight off her “attacker.” She was smiling the whole time.

It looked like harmless banter between two friends, if this is the incident you are referring to. And the media mentioned nothing about the president being “drunk,” which I’m sure they would have harped on if it was true.

I was a kook long before I became elderly. Hell, I’m still just a junior elder. No white hair at all.
