Obama Insists: Assad must Step Down

Leading Kuwaiti newspaper Alrai has reported that the U.S. administration will demand that any agreement made with Syria should commit President Bashar al-Assad to step aside, and commit the remaining parties to working towards a cease-fire agreement. Reportedly, the new U.S. demand has been met with fury in Syria, where regime officials claim such a move would ride roughshod over the "democratic rights" of the Syrian people to elect their own leader.

Sources close to the Syrian President were quoted as saying: "Not Iran, Russia and not the United State can decide who the Syrian President will be, " adding, "the Syrian leadership expected the demands of Washington to get bigger and bigger, but this is illegal and cannot be considered."

The source added: "The intention was to enter into an agreement regarding chemical weapons that would ensure they don't fall into the wrong hands, but there will be no agreement that seeks to further strengthen the terrorist rebel forces."

Obama Insists: Assad must Step Down

Or what? Putin has neutered Obama on the world stage and now Iran is openly flaunting its nuke program and N. Korea is firing up it's nuclear plants to make more weapons grade material. What was once simply suspicion that Obama is weak and incompetent on foreign matters is now confirmed and countries which once toed the line out of fear are now free to act as they wish, or rather as the Russians and Chinese will allow.

Obama must step down first

Vice President Joe Biden eagerly counts the minutes until his inauguration as America's 45th President after Obama's resignation:

That would be hysterical if Assad said “in an effort to achieve peace in our time, I will step down and stop making war as soon as Obama steps down and stops making war.”

This situation may very well end up being the single most devastating political decision in American history. WWIII here comes Obama to pull the starter cord.

Assad is fighting on defense, he is not “making war”.

In a million years I never, ever thought I would ever think of myself as pro-Assad or pro-Putin.
That is how bad Obama is.

Bizarro world, for sure! Is Putin the leader of the free world?? Ex KGB is less of an enemy than POTUS?? Insane.

Assad is at least as legitimate a president as the other guy.

Assad probably has a legal Syrian birth certificate!

...Or he’s going to.. what?

Send a letter of protest or concern?
Hold his breath until he passes out?
Stomp his foot?
Run bawling to Reggie Love’s arms?
Give a “major speech?”
