Monterey Co.: A homeowner shot a suspect during a burglary on Thursday morning in Monterey County, according to sheriffs deputies.
At about 11:10 a.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a report of an in-progress burglary in the 1200 block of Sylvan Road, near Del Monte Golf Course just outside of Monterey.
During the course of the burglary, the homeowner discharged his firearm at the suspect, striking him, sheriffs officials said.
The suspect, identified as 53-year-old Ivan Stubbs, of Salinas, was airlifted to a trauma center in the South Bay, according to the sheriffs office.
Criminals shouldn't be airlifted anywhere except perhaps to be deposited in the ocean.
Now, watch the Air Ambulance send the bill to the homeowner
Does anyone know what state this occured in, or would this be in Monterey County, Mexico?
Near Del Monte golf course. California.
Looks like CA. A lot of times you can tell by hitting the link.
Under topic, it reads California if that helps.
“Man Shoots Burglar in His Home”
Why did the man follow to the burglar to the burglar’s home; and then shoot the burglar? I think the man is in trouble.
Is this news because someone in Kalifornia actually used a firearm to rightfully defend himself and property?
or because he didnt get arrested for it (yet).
Homeowner shoots burglar would have worked.
A friend of mine said she woke up one morning and spotted a man leaving her bedroom. She stayed under her covers and called the police. The guy had all the lights on in the house and was smoking a cigarette trying to decide what stuff he was going to take. He was taking stuff out and putting it all in the bushes. He had been doing it all over the neighborhood. The next day he would drive up with his truck and pick it all up. What they surmised was that he scoped out the neighbors who did not have dogs or alarms and he would get into locked homes while people were in heavy sleep. He had all the lights on and he was smoking a cigarette. Needless to say my friend got a dog, an alarm system and a gun.
Apparently, he isn't unknown to the Sheriff's Dept.

For real or are you being sarcastical?
Good. One less 0bama voter who was planning to do a little ‘income redistribution’ from the hard working homeowner to a lazy indolent slob.
At least it’s not “Man Shoots Burglar in his Pajamas”.
Honest, officer, why that burglar was wearing my pajamas I’ll never know, only now they’re full of bullet holes.
;^)
No, the homeowner was not arrested and spawn44 has not a clue what they’re talking about...One can only guess his/her motive for lying here.
not quite yet from the sounds of it unfortunately. But let’s rock out anyways (turns up to 11)
I was wondering that, too. He should have dragged the burglar back home with him and then called the cops.
