Poll: Obamacare remains highly unpopular as implementation looms

A large number of Americans continue to adamantly oppose the nation’s new health-care law and believe it will produce damaging results, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

Forty-four percent of respondents call the health-care law a bad idea, while 31 percent believe it's a good idea -- virtually unchanged from July's NBC/WSJ survey.

By a 45 percent to 23 percent margin, Americans say it will have a negative impact on the country's health-care system rather than a positive one.

In their own words: Opinions for and against the health-care law:

The 31% will change their minds once they see what it is.

And that 31% and others that voted for this clown should be forced to live with it for 5 years while the rest of us get an exemption.

First clue Obamacare sucks ... Congress is demanding an exemption ... that's all you need to know.

And even now, 0bama is looking for a way to exempt organized labor (UAW, AFL-CIO, Teamsters, etc).

ACA is still legislative effluent from the cesspool that is the Federal government. It is anti-Constitutional on its face.

We must keep the heat on ALL elected officials to pull the funding for this travesty and, then repeal it entirely.

The key to this is not defunding, but suspending. Have Boehner and Co. pass a suspension bill temporarily suspending Obamacare as a compromise, a respectful compromise, due to the economy.

Let the WH determine when the economy is strong enough to implement. Stick it to Obama for the next three years. What will the Dems do? Defend the law? Suspend the law?

We need a generational shift to the GOP.

Why did you suspend it if it is so critically important?

This is a win-win scenario for us. We tried compromise, but they refused would make for a killer campaign. Once they’ve refused, you can begin the slaughter.

We need to win and hold and hold and hold if we want to see our liberties returned.

As it Blossoms and people start seeing Grandma die, and their health care facilities disappearing, it will become even more unpopular.

This is everyone's second choice, but it may be the most prudent and effective one in the long run.

Unpopular but enough to defeat the politicians who enacted it. I would think most of the American people still feel deep down that they will get something for nothing out of this even if it’s just death sooner than exected.

When people start dying from this, many will look askance particularly if there is “insurance” to collect.

if we want to see our liberties returned

I'm afraid the only liberties being exercised these days are "liberty with the truth".

Fraud? Always seemed to me it would have had to have been on too massive a scale to have actually happened. But, maybe it did.

So far I've heard that certain industries are exempt, muzzie's are exempt, government workers are exempt, congress critters are exempt and now he's pushing for union members to be exempt. What makes them so damn special while the rest of us get screwed by this POS legislation?

Correction: Congress RECEIVED an exemption from the 0bama Administration without publicly asking for the exemption, and in spite of the law’s clear language that Congress be covered by 0bamaCare.

just talked to an administrator for Baylife, the largest medical group in Florida

they’ve been instructed over the last couple of years to identify and start phasing out any procedures they can. also, it is common practice for private physicians to send all medicare patients to the main hospitals due to the increased volume and lower revenue per patient

this will end well

The 31% will change their minds once they see what it is.

Once they see it do you honestly think they will blame Obozo and his RAT Congress? Hell no, it will be entirely blamed on the greedy corporations for passing on the higher costs AND those nasty evil health insurance companies.

America truly has been transformed and I frankly don't see it ever coming back.

What ever happened to the equal protection clause of the constitution. Wouldn't it apply here?

The rulers of America no longer have the consent of the governed, but it doesn't matter. The urban areas of America now control the ballot box.

The entire voting structure of America must change for our Constitutional Republic to be restored - START BY TAKING AWAY THE RIGHT TO VOTE IF YOU RECEIVE HANDOUTS FROM UNCLE OBAMA.

And I am not talking about programs like SS and Medicare which have accounts set up for everyone "contributing" (/s).
