“suggest that gun control opponents were to blame for the shooting:”

So this incident is helpful for “gun control opponents”? Who benefits? Gun control advocates of course, so maybe they staged it.

As Americans ran from gunfire at the Navy Yard in Washington DC, commentator David Frum took to Twitter to talk gun control and suggest that gun control opponents were to blame for the shooting:

Isn't it interesting that the person pulling the trigger is never responsible for his/her acts, but the left always finds a way to politicize every event and blame whatever group they don't like?

Question for ya, David - will the shooter(s) be held accountable or will the opponents of gun control be held accountable??

I'm going to go to lunch while you try to figure that one out.

He was never anything but a Canadian liberal and a political nitwit.

Only the entry guards were armed.

Do you know this for a fact? I'm not trying to pick a fight, just learn something. A lot of military bases turned gate security over to civilian security guards and most of them are unarmed, that's why I'm asking.

“So, it’s just too risky to arm the U.S. military?”

Liberals stripped our troops of guns, I think, to help foster the idea that guns are dangerous. But, if many people were carrying side arms, this type of shooting would never occur. They only occur where the shooter is certain everybody is disarmed. Almost always, an active killer turns his gun on himself as soon as he is confronted by an armed person.

I think every workplace should select and train people to carry concealed and let it be known they have done so. I can see that you might not want everybody to carry, because I’ve worked with some lunatics. But there are always level-headed trustable people around.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but this happened in DC, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation. If not the world.

My tweet:

@davidfrum Wasn’t the Naval Yard “gun-free zone?” Just like almost every other mass shooting.

The libtards are really tweaked about Colorado.

Think maybe this was staged? I don’t know.

David Frum is a ‘Gun Nut’, and he doesn’t even know it. He has spent much of his career sitting in Ivory Towers, well protected by armed guards.

Most of us little people don’t have that option.

I suspect this is correct. Whenever I have visited my son’s AF base, or my daughter’s Marine base, I have always been astonished that the only armed people (civilian OR military) have been the guards at the gate. The military folks that Maj Hasan shot down were like fish in a barrel.

Yeah. They were talking about it on FOX. No guns are allowed beyond the gate. According to some military guy( didn't recognize him) only the guards were allowed weapons. I remember wondering if the shooter(s) was(were) secutiry, otherwisde how'd they get the gun(s) inside?
