Senator John McCain: Russians deserve better than Putin
Pravda ^ | September 19, 2013 | John McCain

Posted on 09/19/2013 3:39:01 AM PDT by cunning_fish

When Pravda.ru editor, Dmitry Sudakov, offered to publish my commentary, he referred to me as "an active anti-Russian politician for many years." I'm sure that isn't the first time Russians have heard me characterized as their antagonist. Since my purpose here is to dispel falsehoods used by Russia's rulers to perpetuate their power and excuse their corruption, let me begin with that untruth. I am not anti-Russian. I am pro-Russian, more pro-Russian than the regime that misrules you today.

I make that claim because I respect your dignity and your right to self-determination. I believe you should live according to the dictates of your conscience, not your government. I believe you deserve the opportunity to improve your lives in an economy that is built to last and benefits the many, not just the powerful few. You should be governed by a rule of law that is clear, consistently and impartially enforced and just. I make that claim because I believe the Russian people, no less than Americans, are endowed by our Creator with inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

A Russian citizen could not publish a testament like the one I just offered. President Putin and his associates do not believe in these values. They don't respect your dignity or accept your authority over them. They punish dissent and imprison opponents. They rig your elections. They control your media. They harass, threaten, and banish organizations that defend your right to self-governance. To perpetuate their power they foster rampant corruption in your courts and your economy and terrorize and even assassinate journalists who try to expose their corruption.

They write laws to codify bigotry against people whose sexual orientation they condemn. They throw the members of a punk rock band in jail for the

Americans deserve better than McCain. And Obama. And Biden. And Pelosi. And Graham. And Lamar!. Need I go on?

Right now, I have more respect for Putin than I do for our (P)resident.

It’s getting more national media play than if he had published it I the New York Times. He positions himself the conservative we know he’s not.

And here we are discussing it at length at Free Republic.

Sorry Russia... America would be a better place with Juan McQueda and his pal Hussein al-Baraqi.

We want them both to STFU, too.

It’s more than just distracting—he’s “re-positioning”. He is vulnerable and cannot vote with Obama right now—especially Amnesty. He needs to gain some popularity with conservatives in Arizona. The RATS already love him. So he’s posing as the American Cowboy and one of the Founders at the same time. McCain is a fraud.

I think Breitbart’s death was one of the greatest tragedies of recent years for the conservative movement and America, but I’ve seen nothing but speculation that would indicate assassination.

To be sure, I have little doubt that spy agencies have the ability to do clandestine killings, and that Obama’s political types would have no reluctance to do so.

OTOH, he was the personality and physical type exactly prone to what killed him. My Dad also had the enlarged heart thing, and that’s not something that can be induced quickly. It develops over a long period. He had reportedly also had a serious heart attack some months earlier.

I do not believe local coroners and others would cover up cause of death. Suspicion is not evidence.

“You should be governed by a rule of law that is clear, consistently and impartially enforced and just.”

“He cared about the rule of law and believed no one should be above it”
*********************************************

Like congress and healthcare? It’s good enough for us but not good enough for them? Like Obama picking and choosing what laws he will enforce and ignore? That kind of consistent and impartial law?

If McCain beat Obama then got re-elected he would be president today. How's that for a scary thought.

Good God almighty, what have the citizens of Arizona wrought on America? Now we have the loser doing Obama’s bidding in the foreign media to defend the puppet-in-chief. Just pathetic.

And yet this elitist dimwit does nothing to thwart the efforts of our own government to do the same to us.

McCain, the world laughs at you, too.

I guess my partisan side is just to strong...but as an American and former Marine I am ashamed to admit that as a leader I would prefer Putin over the present occupant of the Whitehouse!!!

I read this paragraph and thought McCain had described the current American government. It’s very sad when our own government is as bad, or worse than the Russian government and McCain doesn’t see the irony in his projection.

Talk about calling the kettle black! Truly unbelievable (well totally believable given McCain’s recent mindless devotion to Emporer Palpatine Obama)

A Russian citizen could not publish a testament like the one I just offered. (Joe the Plumber, IRS investigations, Fusion center domestic terrorist categorization for a Ron Paul sticker, a Gadsden flag or anything admiring the constitution)

They don’t respect your dignity or accept your authority over them. (Obamacare, TEA, etc)

They punish dissent and imprison opponents. (IRS harassment of TEA, Snowden exposing their crimes, etc)

They rig your elections. (Obama part 2, Holder dropping black panthers, winning 100% of large districts, dead voting, Mexicans voting, etc,,)

They control your media. (do I even need,,,)

They harass, threaten, and banish organizations that defend your right to self-governance. (using every agency of government to harass and destroy TEA)

To perpetuate their power they foster rampant corruption in your courts and your economy and terrorize and even assassinate journalists who try to expose their corruption.

(Homo Justice Roberts cleans it up for Obama. And as for the rest, we can just ask Breitbart,,,)

They write laws to codify bigotry against people whose sexual orientation they condemn. (In America our leaders ARE gay. Hillary, Obama, Lindsey Graham, etc etc.)

McCain is showing himself to be a senile lunatic and is embarrassing America. The Russians are laughing at us because of people like him who are utterly unworthy of respect.
