Obama admin: Boehner has ‘Putin envy’
Washington Times ^ | Sept 19, 2013 | By Dave Boyer

President Obama’s spokesman said Thursday that Speaker John A. Boehner suffers from “Putin envy,” after the speaker’s office criticized Mr. Obama in a video for being more willing to negotiate with the Russian president than with House Republicans.

“The video, I thought, demonstrated a little Putin envy, a little odd bit of Putin envy, on behalf of the speaker, but maybe he can explain that,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney.

Careful what you wish for . . . .

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Indeed.
I’m reminded that for over 50 years - Russian tried to dominate the US. From before WWII to after the fall of the Berlin Wall - Communist russia tried to “bury” us.
The failed, of course.
But now? Now it seems they have picked up on a course of action that will suceed in overtaking the US. And as we are running as hard as we can at failure - Russia seems to understand what a successful country must do.
I hope they win.
You missed the obvious points I was making. I guess I could elaborate and post a 500 word essay on why I hope America fails with its FUBO agenda and why Russia succceds with its anti-gay and anti immigrant policies, but you would probably miss those points too.
If you only realized how idiotic that image is . . . if you don’t, then the U.S. deserves someone like Putin. And I’ll laugh at the conservatives who helped pave the way.
Careful what you wish for . . . .
Even with who we have in the White House today?
I don't think there's anything wrong with wishing we had a President that actually had an agenda that benefits the very country he represents.
Putin envy?
You’re Putin me on!
I’m not Putin any trust in this administration or you, Jay.
When Obama vacations on our dime he’s Putin on the Ritz.
Who is Putin Bernanke up to this QE foolishness, Jay?
I could go on all day, but you get the idea.
Putin's Russia is winning because the USA is without any real leadership that actually believes in the America that you and I believe in.
It's only normal that a nation's leader is going to put his country first in any negotiation. With Obama we are vulnerable. Putin's not the only leader that puts his nation first, they all do... except our President.
Obama hates America as much as, if not more than Putin. It's obvious.
True, if it's in Putin's interest is very unlikely it's in OUR interest but if it's in Obama's interest I KNOW it's not in OUR interest.
We are in a pickle.
Not Putin envy, more like Putin regret; in that, it is regretful that the voters in the US would elect a president who is much closer ideologically to Putin than he is to a moderate republican. It is regretful that he is more willing to negotiate with Putin than he is with the Speaker of the House.
There is absolutely NOTHING˝ presidential about Obama or his administration. I see nothing but punks begging for a smack down.
I totally get it: by your own example, we are choosing between a leader who does not have U.S. interests at heart, and a leader who does not have U.S. interests at heart.
From a logical standpoint, the preference for one over the other is mystifying.
