Our current political conservative leadership is engaged in tactics to steer our "ship of state" through a course designed by the left. Steering a course adverse to the wind will not work, our ship has broached. Our engagement is fundamentally and historically on how we now need to fight, lead, participate and concentrate on "righting the ship." We need to pray for and support leaders who know the difference.
I do that from time to time. Find post, View Selection Source, paste HTML, edit, and repost. Even if it was years ago.
Well, yes.
You could post a vanity, but they veer dangerously close to “undead thread” territory.
Beware as that leads to the darkside of the forum.
Once done, forever will it dominate your threads.
Maybe this thread was a poem. Something about a ship going to and fro ... Sort of like John Kerry’s Swift Boat searching for a mythical jungle monster in the Mekong Delta.
Good tip, thanks cynwoody. :)
If this thread is a poem perhaps we can analyze it as one. I graduated from Thomas More College in Merimack, New Hampshire and we had to take a course: On Poetry,” which was mandatory for all students. So let me take a stab at this one:
Our current political conservative leadership is engaged in tactics to steer our “ship of state” through a course designed by the left.:
Just like the chicken sitting on a red wheelbarrow.
Steering a course adverse to the wind will not work, our ship has broached.:
One must re-read the scholarly poem that begins with, “Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream, merrily ...”
Our engagement is fundamentally and historically on how we now need to fight, lead, participate and concentrate on “righting the ship.”:
Just as lightning bugs catch fire in the morning dew.
We need to pray for and support leaders who know the difference.:
Why ask why?
Hmmm. Who needs clarity, when a poem is as mysterious as this one.
Because. That's why.
Something more substantial needed.
"Bow shots fired, stern doors open. Awaiting the Captains orders!"
Or something like that. (Submariners help me out!)

Critique on the style: Awful. Short, undeveloped, ill-written. Continue to work on your writing skill, and learn that one single paragraph does not an editorial make.
Critique on the subject: Stellar. Accurate. Well done.
Net critique: This could have been a comment on any other thread, and it would have been a good one.
“our” ship has been broached, eh?
Broach: pierce (a cask) to draw liquor.
So he’s saying, someone’s draining the booze out of our ship?
“our ship has been broached, eh?
Broach: pierce (a cask) to draw liquor.
