Full title: British hero of the mall massacre: Ex Royal Marine with a handgun saved 100 lives as terrorists ran amok
A former marine emerged as a hero of the Nairobi siege yesterday after he was credited with saving up to 100 lives.
The ex soldier was having coffee at the Westgate mall when it was attacked by Islamists on Saturday.
With a gun tucked into his waistband, he was pictured helping two women from the complex.
The former soldier is said to have returned to the building on a dozen occasions, despite intense gunfire.
A friend in Nairobi said: What he did was so heroic. He was having coffee with friends when it happened.
He went back in 12 times and saved 100 people. Imagine going back in when you knew what was going on inside.
Our saviour: The soldier, whose gun is circled, helps two women to safety. His identity has been protected for security reasons

*GASP* Take awat his guns and lock him up! Gun Control NOW!!!
The picture makes me wonder if that is his wife and daughter.
I’m pretty sure I saw this same photo with his face not blocked out yesterday.
Once again a gun in the hands of a good guy saving lives.
You did... so did I
I wonder how they establish 100 people saved. Why not 200 or 50 for that matter? Not taking away anything from his heroic deed . . .
Yes, they only started changing the photo yesterday.
They’re probably trying to make it harder for al-Shaboob to identify him so they can issue a fatwa against him.
But based on what is being reported, I would suspect a fatwa or two wouldn’t bother him much.
I saw a pic with the hero’s face not blurred, He and the women were identified as a family escaping the carnage.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they photoshopped the gun out.
My thought exactly.
The irony of this is totally lost on the British.
That’s probably why his face is blurred: He don’t want to get locked up.
There obviously is no such person as an “ex-Marine!
Shhh! Dont tell that to the gungrabbing liberals!!
