Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, rose to speak on the Senate floor at 2:41 p.m. on Tuesday. He stood up in opposition to Obamacare, he said. And he said he would continue to speak until he could no longer stand. By Wednesday morning, Cruz and some of his colleagues were still standing.

We are all sick of it but yet we fight on. We need the Senate full of people like Cruz who will fight. Ignore the whiners and lightweights who say this was a waste of time.
Any time spent by a politician that is NOT spent fighting for our conservative principles is a waste of time.

defunding their salaries is a game. Have you ever seen their salary come up for a vote?
Gee, this Saturday Ole Miss plays Alabama in SEC football. According to your way of thinking Ole Miss shouldn’t even show up since playing the game “will do absolutely no good.”
Win or nothing? Ridculously silly.
Pragmatism is a liberal weeny word.
And as a third generation Texan...and the grandmother of a fifth generation Texan, I am so proud that you do.
Does you moniker have anything to gerbils and blue finger paint?
I had a leftist toss that same flawed aphorism at me just yesterday. It didn't wash then either.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome. That is not what the pubbies have done in this case. What the pubbies have done is the same thing (vote against Øbomacare) over and over expecting the same thing. It isn't their fault that the dhimmis don't have the common sense that God cave a gnat.
And those actions are the exact opposite of defeatism, not bemoaning their lack of progress.
I love Texas and everything Texan :)
And I’m on Cruz Control :)
Told him I wasn't a constituent, but my son & his wife are....and how much I appreciate Senator Cruz speaking for all of us and wished him God's blessing.
The man was very gracious.
What I told my own senator--(when I called)...Bill Nelson...is (besides defund Obamacare)....WHY do you get exempt....and we don't?
I said more, but that was part of it.
I remember Bill Nelson (from my area years ago) when he claimed to be a Christian and claimed to support the life of the unborn.---I don't know what he claims now, but he hasn't supported the life of the unborn since he came to 'power'....'tis a terrible thing to gain the whole world, and lose your soul'
Bill Nelson you might have fooled your constituents, but you haven't fooled God.
Same with my 2 Tennessee RINOS. Lamar is up for re-election so he should be easy to get a no vote out of, I’ll still try and vote him OUT! I loath rinos as much as demorats.
