If we need another party we all need one that we all can unite to, otherwise forget it.

When I joined FR it was about opposing Democrats. Now it’s about destroying Republicans

You really are full of yourself. The GOP-E all-but destroyed the party. It was Tea Party conservatives like we have on FR that restored it in 2010. And then the GOP-E threw away the White House in 2012 by pushing the squish Romney on the party.

We aren't the destroyers. And we certainly aren't establishment apologists like you.

Well, soon it will be safe for a Democrat.

It's the GOPe that is pushing that reality, but you side with them. You apparently believe that the message of limited government cannot sell, but that is because you do not understand leadership. Leadership moves the electorate, not the other way around. It is not ignoring the electorate (as your fabulous RINOs do), it is convincing the body politic of the wisdom of the proposals. Cruz understands that, McClintock understands that, you don't.

I use Tom McClintock as an example because he is a true conservative who was elected, repeatedly, in a Democrat majority district in California. Get it? Huh? It takes intellect, principle, and self control, but it's possible, conservatives really can win. Now, get off your whining ass and make it happen; that is what self-government is truly about.

There is a breed of GOP party stalwart that thinks the GOP leadership can do no wrong. They pop up now and then on FR when the leadership needs defending.

Enjoy permanent minority status in both houses. It suits you.

You are truly ignorant. You seem to view everything as a political game.

Do you not realize your RINO pals in Congress have been happily moving us towards an all powerful State?

Do you not realize that we are in a the battle of Liberty vs Tyranny?

Do you not realize that is we had a Super majority of the likes of McCain, that government would still accelerate it's control over us?

I suggest you get your head out of RINOs behind and view reality.

Cruz’s plan won’t work.

What he is doing is painting a bright line so that the voting public knows whose fault the coming debacle will be, because thereafter, there will be two proposals: freedom and total socialism. Else when the Slave Party trots out its plan for single payer, there will be no alternative in the minds of the body politic.

In the mean time, get on the phone and play the game. Those phone call numbers get whispered all through Washington, and they are feared.

l McClique McAinal McQueeg is totally irrelevant with conservative republicans. He is only important to the gay rats, who control our media. These dregs of humanity, spend their smi sober hours in Gay hot tubs, writing bs about their hero while trying to make Ted Cruz look bad. In spite of their trash posing as journalism, we now have the totally irrelevant McAinal McQueeg and a stronger Ted Cruz.

"The position any Republican should take on any issue is relative to the amount of squealing done by Democrats. When Democrats squeal the loudest, it’s means the Republican pol is doing the right thing. They were all squealing very loudly and the biggest Dem pig, Harry Reid, was oinking louder than all the other Dem pigs. The lib media pigs were also doing a tremendous amount of squealing about Cruz. That meant Cruz was absolutely doing the right thing.

Cruz’s intention is to destroy the party so that Democrats control both houses and the White House forever with a tiny but ideologically pure Republican party in opposition.

Because the GOPe tactic of giving in to the demands of the “Progressives” on every issue is working so damned well.

Screw them.

A party that actually represents Conservative Values will win elections.

A third party will never win

How about a valid second party? Right now it seems we have two wings of the same party.

You seem to think Free Republic is a republican party website. It isn’t. It is a conservative website. CINOs like you are the problem.

This debacle has destroyed my faith in the GOP once and for all.

Yep, that is why I say F them all.

My sentiments exactly. I made excuses for Dubya until he caused the 06 debacle and the Congress in the hands of the Botox Queen and Whorehouse Harry.

I said "no more." Other than being pro-life, Dubya made no pretense to being a conservative. The Republican Congress critters were only interested in dividing up the spoils, just like the even more corrupt Democrat fellow-critters.

When a real conservative like Cruz happens along, DC denizens like Krauthammer and Hume make snide comments. I say "f" them also. Can't these guys stand for anything?: Are they more commited to the Beltway Cocktail Circuit than they are to liberty?

Yes, they are. Again, as you said, F them. When I was a little more naive, I used to wonder why they did not stand up for what they believe in. Now, I am convinced they never believed it in the first place. It is all about, give them their food and drink, and they are fine.

OK, you are a party hack who cares more about that progressive squish Lamar keeping his swanky job than having actual Conservatives in office. Instead of attacking Carr, let see you defend Lamar Alexander.

A pox on you and your ilk.

It's about supporting Conservatism. I guess you still haven't noticed that most Republicans, in spite of their campaign rhetoric, aren't Conservatives. They side with the Democrats ideologically more often than not, while telling us that "next time" they'll put up a fight. I've been hearing the same song from the Gutless Obsolete Pretenders for decades, but I've watched and remember what they do. Their words and deeds are not even in the same world.
