Harkin’s wiki page has him as having announced that he will not seek re-election in 2014, in a state which leans Republican (repub gov and assembly, the dems hold the state senate by a margin of 1)

“Harkin: Tea Party ‘every bit’ as dangerous to nation as the Civil War”

What he really is saying is that the Tea Party is every bit as dangerous to the democRATS and other limp-wristed liberals of his type and that “Please don’t get me fired by telling the truth about what we do besides “TAX & SPEND”!

Yes, we are dangerous and have a goal to eradicate everyone of you democRATS from the political scene. We want to make it OUR turn, that’s all.

HARKIN: “A small group of willful men and women who have a certain ideology about how our country should run and what we should do cannot get their way in a normal discourse and votes,”

Hey, ass-factory, what do you think we are doing RIGHT NOW? It's called 'normal discourse and votes'.

Trust me, you'd notice the difference.

“...Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) on Friday said that the Tea Party movement is just as dangerous for America as the Civil War. ..”

No, Senator. Not dangerous to the nation.

Only dangerous to leftover 1960s subversive socialist democrat dirtbags who want to destroy the nation.

All Harkin needs to do is look in the mirror.

Harkins has the wrong war. He should be thinking of the American Revolution - and that worked out just fine, thank you. Only the Tyrants were unhappy with the results of that war.

First Tom, it is a LARGE number.

Second, it's called the fu****g Constitution of the United States of America. You should read it sometime. It makes perfect sense.

“A small group of willful men and women who have a certain ideology about how our country should run and what we should do cannot get their way in a normal discourse and votes,” Harkin said. “Since they can’t get their way they’re going to create this confusion and discourse and hope the public is so mixed up in who to blame for this that perhaps they’ll blame both sides.”

So now it has come to this. The founding principles of the United States of America are some "certain ideology". The signers of the Declaration of Independence were barking in the wind, but that didn't stop them from doing the right thing.

“That is the path they see for taking over the government. It’s dangerous, very dangerous. … Every bit as dangerous as the break up and the Civil War.”

It's not "taking over the government", the Democrats are already trying to do that through "fundamentally transforming". It's simply returning the government to its Constitutionally chartered limitations.

One thing he does have right (ya know, stopped clock, etc.), continuing down this path toward communism will result in another Civil War.

Democrats have become the intellectual successors to “Anti-Federalist party”, standing for centralized power at the expense of the states, and using force and threats of force to compel people to accept situations and conditions contrary to their personal better interests.

All in the interest of “helping”, doncha know.

They are SCARED of a resurging TP movement.

Terrified! A grassroots conservative/libertarian movement is 180 degrees against the establishment liberals. The left was supposed to have a grassroots uprising, but oops, it came from the right. Like Rush said: Liberals always tell you how they fear.

That’s what democrats said about that dangerous new republican party in 1860 and why they forced the conflict to save slavery.

Today they say the same things about tea party conservatives as they attempt to reestablish slavery in this country by making all taxpayers into tax slaves.

Just as black slaves worked to support the non-working slave owners and their interests they now want us to work and then take the fruit of our labor from us to support the democrat party, its elite leadership and their non-working constituents.

F### all democrats, down with their party, curse all of them and their constituents.

Dems are used to having their way with the compliant Republicans but the Tea Party fights back.

They should be scared. For decades they have had a "Heads we win a lot. Tails we lose a little, or nothing." situation with the Republican Party.

And what is wrong with people like that?

They do not make good cattle easily led to slaughter. They are “dangeours” mavericks and bunch quitters that could lead a national stampede against Obamacare. I, for one, am tired of a being herded by a group of strong-willed bureaucrats that want to decide every detail of my life. I see nothing wrong in being strong-willed in standing up for the right to decide how to live my own life.

“.......... Cruz, backed by Tea Party groups, lobbied his colleagues throughout the week to block the bill in order to prevent Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) from removing the ObamaCare provisions.

Maybe that’s what you heard.

IMHO, we need to rent a barge, float it on the Potomac at night, have the Tea Partiers dress as Indians, and dump effigies of RAT Congressmen into the Potomac. Do it during the furlough when nobody can patrol.

I think those of of who openly acknowledge ourselves as official members of the nonpartisan TEA member majority, vastly outnumber elected government officials...at every and all levels.

Add the people who are just now waking up, and smelling the horse shit, and it becomes:
