Ya think?
This is why all is not lost if it comes in tomorrow.
We’ll have to pull it out after it’s planted - that will be harder.
Some how they will blame the evil corporations. These people seem to skate no matter what.
And the GOP lets them. That is the WORST part of it.
What good would it do if it did? Republicans never repeal anything Dems have done, and certainly couldn't muster a veto-overriding majority to do so if this were the one time they found a spine. I guess it would be slightly better, in that probably no NEW communism, or at least less, would be enacted between 14 and 16. But if the ratchet only ever clicks one direction, it doesn't matter very much who wins a given round.
“...response to the multiple glitches and snafus of his ObamaCare rollout...”
IMO, this is what happens when you go from System Test to Production, neglecting Integration Test.
That’s exactly what they are doing. Look at any comments page underneath an article critical of Obamacare. If you believe them, everything is sweetiness and light. There are no problems—its only us “uninformed people”. They look like they are being cut and pasted off a set of talking points.
It is up to We The People to...”create an electoral backlash that WILL send dozens of incumbent Democrats home for good in November 2014.”
Let’s git bizzy! RINOs, too! :)
Sounds more like Unit Test to Production. I can hear the age-old excuse now... “it worked when I tested it on my machine”. :)
Obama's people are infiltrating all the conservative websites and forums with their talking points, i.e. propaganda. It won't get them very far. People will see with their own eyes what a bag of crap it is.
This is proof the democrats don’t care. They lost the house over obamacare so they don’t care if they lose every seat.
What the republicans need to do is hold their ground on defunding it and say over and over again that they’re ready to sit down with the democrats and work on the healthcare system. If the democrats say “no” the backlash will be bad for them.
This is the ONLY good thing that would come if the House caves: the Dems will own the issue (and the associated pain) thanks to their own demands... and frankly a one-year delay wouldn’t help us in 2014.
So hold on to that when Pelosi, Reid, and Obama do another victory lap after this episode is over.
I haven’t DEMANDED anything in years — the last time was for my cable company to carry Fox Business News and I laughed when I did that — but I think Women ought to band together and DEMAND affordable manicures as part of good health in our family food prep chores.
Anyone up for carrying a placard for that?
It could have been a problem for them in the 2012 election too, except for the fact that obamacare was modeled after the republican candidates own romneycare.
Not a lot romney could say about obamacare without it being smashed back into his own face.
If the Democrats had half a brain they would take the one year delay offer with a huge sigh of relief. Now in the 2014 elections, if all of the ACA gets active, the Democrats will get slaughtered at the polls.
Which is why we should go down in flames fighting it, but NOT delay it.
Actually, the one year delay ticks me off. It is useless, putting off the inevitable and will do nothing for 2014. The Democrats want to fight for this, let them own it.
Sure it is. You'll never get rid of it. I don't much care who's elected if they can't stop things like this from happening.
<....”we should go down in flames fighting it, but NOT delay it.”....>
That’s exactly where I stand. However we actually went down when the Republicans folded as it became “Law”. This is just the rest of that loss playing out now.
I love it.
