Hard to believe. When you are selling sugar water, I would think your profit margin would be far greater than a hardware and software company. I guess times really have changed.

The Amoco gas station brand name was worth $.02 to $.04/gallon over competitors in the same area. Amoco was also more attractive to women drivers. A consulting company discovered these facts while my employer looked at acquiring another chain.
Then the geniuses at BP entered the picture and destroyed this advantage.

Pepsi Max for me, no Coke, no apple crapware either. No accounting for tastes, in soft drinks or hardware/software and that overall is proved by the ignorance of all the people who voted for and support the current dictator and his minions.
