WASHINGTON (TheBlaze/AP) — Democrats in Congress have made it clear they do not plan to negotiate with Republicans in any fashion until the U.S. House passes a “clean” continuing resolution to fully fund the government and Obamacare.

That was evident late Tuesday when House Democrats killed a GOP bill aimed at reopening small slices of the federal establishment, including the Department of Veteran Affairs, the Park Service and a portion of the Washington, D.C., government funded with local tax revenue.

After a Tuesday strategy session, Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.) said if Democrats are “really concerned about funding the VA, let’s fund it.”

However, Democrats generally opposed all three, saying Republicans shouldn’t be permitted to choose which agencies remain open and which stay shut. As a result, all fell well short of the two-thirds majority needed for passage.

Tell Jason the democrats can’t kill shit in the House. These bills will pass with regular order and red state senators up for re-election will be forced to vote against them. In this respect Boehner is doing well.

Democrats will negotiate with al-Qaeda and Iran, but not fellow Americans.
Go figger.

And the panda cams at the National Zoo stay dark.

Obviously the Democrats hate pandas.

Glad to see that the Democrats are resisting Boehner’s nature pathetic need to cave in to Democrats.

Boehner and New York’s Peter King need to stop messing up the Republicans and convert to being Big Government Democrats.

So, lame-stream "news" media, tell me again who is responsible for the shutdown......

The pandas are probably happy to finally be getting some privacy.

why did they go dark in the first place? I doubt the bill is past due. I doubt the camera needs an employee to keep it running hourly..

Oh ya, so someone might notice the fedgov was shut down.

Why not? There's nothing in the Constitution that says Congress can't do that. And Dems love to read all kinds of thing out of the Constitution that were never intended by the creators.

RATs will pay the price come 2014. Meanwhile, expose them for what they are and start recalls all over the country. Even if they can’t be recalled, do it anyway to show them they’re TOAST.

I guess it was ok with the DEMS when zero dictated which car dealerships could remain open and which ones would close when GM was bailed out. What was it Romney said during the first debate? Something about zero picking winners and losers and mostly losers.

DEMS are hypocrites!
