Chelsea Clinton declares 2014 the 'Year of the Baby' By Judy Kurtz - 10/02/13 11:31 AM ET
Get ready for Chelsea Clinton Bump Watch 2014 the only daughter of the former president and former secretary of State is declaring next year the Year of the Baby.
In an interview for the November issue of Glamour magazine on her work with the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation, Clinton reveals that she and husband Marc Mezvinsky are planning for a bouncing addition to their household.
According to the 33-year-old Oxford grad, the pair, who married in 2010, sat down together a year after tying the knot and made a list focused on their future, saying, We want, God willing, to start a family. So we decided to make 2014 the Year of the Baby.
Clinton added to the mag, And please, call my mother and tell her that. She asks us about it every single day."
While baby talk might be the biggest buzz generator, Clinton says she also had some other items on the list she crafted with her hubby: Work really, really hard, and in a way that makes an impact.
Its the first time the former first daughter has opened up about expanding her family. But shes remaining tight-lipped on other topics, including a 2016 presidential bid by her mom.
When a Glamour reporter mentions her familys foundation would make a great launching pad for a Hillary Clinton White House campaign, Clinton replies, Ill support my mother in whatever she does. Always.
All about them.
They declare year of the baby because THEY’RE trying to have one.
Well, thanks for letting all the rest of us know what you’ve decided to declare. /s
“Clinton reveals that she and husband Marc Mezvinsky are planning for a bouncing addition to their household.”
They’re buying a basketball??
Thanks, Huntress. I don’t remember the Oxford degree, either. Or the Medical degree from Stamford.
Hillary asks Chelsea about a baby every day but Chelsea needs the media to tell her they are planning on starting a family now? Gag me.
What is with this Hillary as Gramma all of a sudden anyway? Is that supposed to make her more electable? I will not vote for her because she is a grandmother any more than I will vote for her because she is a woman.
The woman would make a disastrous president. Period.
And by that she does not mean millions of babies murdered in their mothers’ wombs to the joyous cheers of her parents and their party.
Now, if they can just allow them to be born...
And perhaps they can lay to rest the demand for fourth quarter abortions.
Gotta crank out a grandkid for momma to kiss on the campaign circuit.
Yes, I’m sure you’re correct.
The real question haunting Americans is when Hillary leaves the WH in 2025 will Chels be ready to take up the load?
“Gotta crank out a grandkid for momma to kiss on the campaign circuit.”
Exactly! To these people, a baby is just another accessory to flaunt, like a designer purse.
I disagree very much.
People like the Clintons feel that they are rewarding the world by passing on their gene pool. That’s why they reproduce.
ugh, I’m trying to eat my lunch here guys.
Just in time for Hillary's run for the White House. Who in the Liberal media wouldn't care?
Who cares. Are they going to use it for campaigning?
There's a first time for everything!
The party and their media cares.
It will be treated like the royal birth in England.
But again, who really cares?
Yes the media are probably surveying out sections on the sidewalk of some NYC maternity hospital as we speak.
Waiting for the public unveiling of Prince Webster Clinton-Mezvinsky.
Well, doesn’t this just make your day.
I wonder if the baby will, you know, turn out to be as intelligent, you know, as Caroline Kennedy, you know.
They already have a slot reserved at Sidwell Friends.
Hillary will be able to run over from the WH for grandparents lunch with junior days.
If she has a degree it’s because it was given to her, not because it was earned.
“Gotta crank out a grandkid for momma to kiss on the campaign circuit.”
Hillary can name it “Checkers” and later say, “and regardless of what they say about it, we’re going to keep it.”
