Photographer Tony Powell is, according to the Washington Post, a "renaissance man." He's known for his choreography, painting, composition, and graphic design along with his photography. But it's certainly odd that on October 2, two days in to the government shutdown, Powell announced that he would be holding a Thursday photo shoot with President Obama via Facebook:

I don’t know if this is unique to Obama but he is overexposed. He would do better if he was a bit more mysterious. I’m exhausted by trying to avoid reading about him in every other headline.
I’ve heard many people say something along the lines of they hate hearing the sound of his voice. It is as ubiquitous as loud music in gyms. After awhile it loses all musical quality and it’s just annoying, ever-present noise.
