Over the past week, when arguing with liberals (extreme left wingers) over the shutdown, I hear the same talking point time and time again; "the ACA is law"....I respond with the same answer, pointing out the hypocrisy of left wingers/liberals, and encourage Freepers to do the same...
- I remind them we have border laws in this nation which obama's imperial presidency refuses to enforce...
- I remind them obama refused to enforce DOMA, which was a law, the first five years of his imperial presidency....
so the next time some left wing extremist says there's no negotiating because "the ACA is law", remind them of all the laws presently on the books the imperial president refuses to enforce...
Prohibition was law, too.
So was DOMA*, but that didn’t stop the First Dictator from declaring it null and void by telling his accomplice, Holder, not to enforce it.

You folks are right, you should be bold, loud, and “proud” about it. Every time an evil person twists what is good as though it were his or her own private dominion, point out what is good out there in the whole wide world. I say proud because it rhymes :-) but a better word would be glorious, since all good things come down from the Father of lights. (Then the father of lies tries to steal them. But it’s like trying to steal cookies in broad daylight once you see what’s going on.)

Yes and no - it’s law except for those portions which Obama unilaterally decides to abridge, like the business mandate and the requirement that congress, the president and their staff all obtain their insurance through Obamacare - but then as you point out, he unconstitutionally picks and chooses which laws he wants to uphold and which to ignore, so.....
Slavery used to be law. It used t be against the law to arm or teach a slave to read.
Laws can be changed.
Those affected by it should have the most say and as it appears now the only ones who want it are those who are exempted from it or think it will cost them nothing.

You might also remind them that slavery was once the law of the land, too, and it was even upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court (the Dredd Scott decision). Obamacare will deprive millions of Americans of their privacy and liberty, and millions more of their hard-earned money. Let’s hope it won’t take a civil war to repeal it.

Seemed like a bad idea, and it was. Eventually it was overturned.
Unaffordable Health Care law will one day be repealed.

The PEOPLE elected the members of the House to represent them.
