Helen Thomas, JFK went on date By: Andrew Glass October 5, 2013 03:47 PM EDT

Helen Thomas covered 10 presidents, from Eisenhower through Obama, in her time as a White House correspondent.

She also went on a date with one of them, it emerged during a memorial service attended by about 500 people Saturday at the National Press Club for Thomas, who died on July 20 at age 92.

As told by Suzanne Geha, Thomas’s niece, who presided, Thomas arrived in Washington in 1942, at age 22, shortly after graduating from Detroit’s Wayne State University. United Press (later UPI) hired her in 1943.

While working for UP, she went on a date with John F. Kennedy, then a young Democratic congressman from Massachusetts, whom she subsequently covered in the White House.

“How did it go?” her friend asked her.

“He was too fresh,” Helen reportedly replied.

History tells us most Kennedy males would copulate with a snake if someone would hold the creature’s head.

Wasn’t Kennedy first elected to Congress in 1946?

LOL!

A buddy of mine from South Carolina used to say that about some people.

The most important question of all, and for the answer, we truly need Laz to give us his opinion.

Would he hit it?

I think so. A lot of World War II vets with political aspirations did that.

Nixon, Johnson, Ford, Bush, etc, etc.

Helen was quite the beauty - In her youth, she was Miss Gondwanaland.

She doesn’t look too bad if you find a pic taken from 50 ft or so away.

You know the old saying, “Everyone’s good looking at closing time”? Until this moment I never knew just how unbelievably, inconceivably, and more than a little creepily true that statement was...

For sure JFK dated and bedded lots of women, but I seriously doubt he ever noticed a troll like Helen Thomas, when he was known for taking out real beauties.... The infamous “Inga Binga” suspected spy, who he dated in DC before his indiscretions got him sent off to the PT boats, was quite a beauty.

He was not elected to Congress until after the war, 1946, so beginning his term in 1947.

Only way he went near young Helen Thomas was if it was for favorable press coverage, but with his daddy’s fortune plus his own charms he had no interest in a plain nerdy Helen Thomas (not going by her aged photos but from photo of her in her 20s).

I would never believe this story without real evidence — it was probably just an ego stroking tall tale passed along by Helen Thomas....
