Ted Cruz - Intellect on Display - Cruz on CNN State of the Union
October 6, 2013 | Ralph Mitchell

On today's CNN State of the Union, Sen.Ted Cruz was simply "Intellect on Display" as he seemlessly won every debate point with host Candy Crowley. I say we support Ted Cruz all the way to the Presidency.

let's not wait 25 years to fully appreciate Ted. We have a giant walking amongst us.

Yes, and look how he has energized Free Republic. Honestly, before that 21-hour stand up performance, I was thinking this site was getting just a little boring. Now I can hardly wait to get up in the morning and see what you guys are up to.

Plus, you should see the piles of LISTS all over my computer desk, of who voted for what, and phone numbers and other contact info, etc. I even sent his committee $25 which is the first money any Republican has pried out of me since my husband and I went ga-ga over Reagan.

Can't praise Ted enough.

With Curz, not only is conservatism "built in", Curz articulates conservatism extremely well. Curz is presidential material for sure.

Candy Crowley didn’t have Obama prompting her.

Has anyone read Ted Cruz's wiki page ?

He was the head of the Debate team at Princeton.

Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law.

Professor Alan Dershowitz said, "Cruz was off-the-charts brilliant."

Cruz served as a law clerk to J. Michael Luttig of the United States
Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in 1995 and William Rehnquist,
Chief Justice of the United States in 1996

During high school, Cruz participated in a group called the Free Market
Education Foundation where Cruz learned about free-market economic
philosophers such as Milton Friedman, Friedrich Hayek, Frédéric Bastiat
and Ludwig von Mises. Cruz entered the program at the age of 13.

All due respect to all, Cruz has only talked,....Tedd Cruz has not brought down any Iron Curtain . UMMMM. Ted hasn’t BEEN President..yet. Reagan hadn’t done much but talk, prior to his election. But, OH, HOW he talked! Into a landslide.

The Walking Dead has Darryl Dixon and the American People have Ted Cruz. Both men kicking ARSES. One with a bow and the other with words & sense that it fly over the head of liberals.

For those of you arguing over semantics, let’s draw this out a little.

Yes, the House has voted 40 times to repeal ObomaCare. Yes, it has failed in the Senate every time. However, it looked as if Boehner was going to cave to Obama, and had Cruz not gotten over 2 million signers and kept taking this to the media, Boehner would have.

Cruz got America involved, which then led Reince Priebus to declare that the republicans must stand on this issue, as it was the will of the people...not to mention that donations were off by 40% because people were pissed with the republicans talk of ObamaCare being the law, etc., etc. Cruz kept the rhetoric going, reminding the republicans that the people do NOT want this bill enacted. Let’s remember, as Ted does, that this bill was enacted illegally and without ONE republican vote. If we do not keep this before the people and Congress knowing how upset we are, it will become a monstrosity bigger than we could ever imagine.

So, basically, Ted has led the fight to keep American taxpayers and electorate involved in this, to encourage the republicans to stay in the fight and not give in. You have all noticed a handful of republicans who just want this all to go away. Well, maybe we can encourage THEM to leave the party, if that is how they truly feel, so we can know what to do with those who are RINOs in the next election...and I pray we are all keeping track of the RINOs in the party! We must primary these people out in 2014. No exceptions.

There are plenty of RINOs who have voted to defund because they know it passes in the House and they can look good on paper. Now we are seeing who they really are by watching the ones who are ridiculing Cruz.

Without Ted Cruz, the House votes to defund really mean nothing. It is holding to the line in the face of Chicago thuggery that really shows what true patriotism is. As was reported the other day, ...Obama may have won the presidency (Although I doubt he won it fairly) but the republicans still won the House...at the same time! He cannot have his way when the people want the republicans to stand. PERIOD!

Schadenfreude is a tasty dish....

True, it is, but it's as nasty and it is tasty. Note how nasty and tasty are spelled alike but for ONE letter, but pronounced VERY differently. Off the subject; just noticed it.

Feeling joy at someone's misfortune is a legacy of Adam and Eve...sin. One can feel justified, but happy? WAY different.
