A conservative super PAC is taking to the airwaves with a new commercial criticizing Republican Senate candidate Liz Cheney's comments on gay marriage.
Cheney said earlier this year that she is "strongly pro-life and I am not pro-gay marriage." The ad, from the American Principles Fund, suggests that Cheney isn't sufficiently conservative on the latter issue. It singles out comments Cheney made on MSNBC in 2009 in opposition to a constitutional ban on gay marriage and in support of a State Department decision to extend benefits to same-sex couples.
"MSNBC: The go-to network for Barack Obama and Washington's liberal elites. So what's Liz Cheney doing here?" asks the narrator of the ad.
The group is airing the ad statewide in Wyoming for about two weeks, according to spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the daughter of former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee.

Chenny "lives" in Teton County (a Bammy enclave).
Enzi was mayor of Gillette, so though a pol, he is not tarnished by extreme contact with Teton County.
I want to marry my sons. I don’t want to have sex with them but I do love them, and that is the current rationalization used by the redefiners.
This is what is called self-inflicted damage.
Other than Cruz, Cheney is a serious contender for Presidency.
As a 2008 Romney team member, she has adopted his style and level of dishonesty.
That pro-life statement was the first she has ever uttered, she had never been pro-life before, and she flat out lied about gay marriage, she has supported gay marriage and a gay military for years.
Cheney is a serious contender for Presidency.
Yes, we need a GOP presidential candidate who opposes a marriage protection amendment.
She’s a big RINO.
In what universe? She's a longshot to win that Senate seat.
I agree with you. This is needless.
This is needless.
It’s only “needless” if you agree with her liberalism on gay marriage, and don’t like her being critized for her position. I have to assume that’s where you’re coming from.
I would prefer Enzi to Cheney. But what about the odd Tea party candidate running against Governor Mead? Mead is mostly RINO.
Liz Cheney supports gay marriage, and opposed DOMA and a constitutional amendment to protect marriage and was for homosexualizing the military and was a Romney fan.
Are you looking for another Mitt Romney?
Hey, if a potential elected official is going to vote to push the homosexual life style on me, I want to know about it.
Kara Ahern seems to be confusing her own campaign's supporters with the people who did a truthful ad about Liz Cheney's liberal record.
WTF? Princess Liz sure as hell isn't any Presidential contender, she's gonna be handed her RINO *ss in the Senate primary. Even in parallel universe where she's headed for victory you'd have to be on the pipe to think that.
In what alternate universe?
‘cuz she ain’t going to make it past the primary here in Wyoming.
And, furthermore, neither Cruz nor Cheney are going to end up on the POTUS track until they’ve been governor. I think the best case that the GOP can make in 2016 is that we’ve had quite enough to Senators running for POTUS.
Liz Cheney? Is this a joke?
Liz Cheney is just another beltway pol who went out to a thinly populated state to seek power on the cheap. If she actually wanted to do something useful, she would have run against Mark Warner or Tim Kaine in her home state of VA.
Mike Enzi is no great prize, but she isn’t either. And at least Mike Enzi had the good sense to stand with Ted Cruz.
I thought Liz Cheney grew up on the East Coast, sucking on the DC teat?
