Measuring Obamacare enrollment is actually kind of tricky
Washington Post ^ | October 7, 2013 | By Sarah Kliff

We're nearly one week into Obamacare's open enrollment period. What we do know: It's been a bumpy ride. What we don't know: How many people have signed up.

That's because there are a number of steps in the application process for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. And states are using lots of different metrics to determine how well their new insurance marketplaces are going.

When the District of Columbia's Health Benefit Link crunches the numbers on who has done what on their Web site ... on the D.C. Health Link's first day, 175 people requested invoices whereas four people actually went ahead and paid the premium.

The 0bamacare machine wants to know everything about everybody but we can't get any useful information about it in return?

What this says to me is that people don’t want it and aren’t signing up....apparently even the low information voters know enough to stay off of this train wreck waiting to happen.

They know exactly how many of the successfully created accounts actually bought policies.

The number is so low that they are embarrassed. It’s because people thought it would be free and it’s not.

Look for them to use their navigators to “buy” policies off the exchange to make their numbers look better.

Oh... Kate, pass this over to your IT people.

This will give you the number of actual accounts:
Select count(*) from Accounts

This will give you the number of people with policies:
Select count(*) from Accounts
Where PolicyEffectiveDate is not null

Simple enough?

Well, given the state of our schools, I am not surprised that no one in government knows how to count. Someone explain to them that 1 + 1 = 2, and 1 + 1 + 1 = 3, and so on. They might figure it out eventually.

Three years to implement a basic counting function and now only excuses.

You’re exactly right. The underlying database(s) can easily calculate this. They just don’t like the results of the count. It is politically embarrassing and indicates that Obamacare will collapse under the weight of high costs to taxpayers.

One can always count on the limpwrists at the WaPo to conjure up whatever lie will most easily explain the latest Obamadork idiocy.

Face it, bottom O-the SAT barrel journalism majors, your guy is a lying piece of excrement who couldn’t run a lemonade stand without the help of a mentally superior five year old.

(I just posted this on the comments after the article. If you “like” it, then it will stay at the top and give thousands of libtards a bleeding ulcer.)

Imagine, the same fedgov that can set the NSA loose on the entire world including America to spy on us and comb through our emails and phone calls, with a three-year head start can’t set up a working software program to administer Obama’s signature legislation, the ACA.

If Apple rolled out a new product and it crashed and burned like the ACA, every engineer involved would be fired. But it doesn’t matter to the fedgov, because they have a monopoly on force, and no matter how rotten Obamacare is, we’ll be forced to accept it being shoved down our throats. And if we don’t, the IRS will just take our “fines” (taxes?) out of our tax returns.

Welcome to the USSA. Now, shut up and be a good comrade and salute Dear Leader Obama, or the IRS will be told to audit you, and if that won’t work, the NSA will “find” some evidence of criminal behavior in your old emails or phone calls.

This is what dictatorship looks like as it comes creeping in. This is not freedom. This is not the America I was born and raised in. This is socialist tyranny, clicking the ratchets tighter and tighter around our throats.

I think no one has been able to sign up. Not a single person. Not one.

Why do I say that?

Because the media would be all over themselves interviewing those that were able to sign up and since no one was able to, there is no one to interview extolling the virtues of government “healthcare.”

The fact is they can’t find one single person that was able to sign up.

Didn’t they find one guy?
And didn’t he turn out to be one of the “navigators”?

A thumbs up for your post on the Washington (Com)Post.

We're not far from the tipping point now, are we?

“Tricky?” Heck, it’s downright sorcery! After all, you’ve got to turn this leaden failure into political gold. Even Rumpelstiltskin got to start with straw.

You’ve got to convince people that a program none of them wanted is popular, that a program costing far more than alleged will cost less, that you should trust your lives and health to a government that can’t even roll out a website, and that the arrogant buffoon who is the author of this debacle is actually a suave, urbane intellectual who gives a fiddler’s f__k about the common man.

Tricky? Merlin, Gandalf, and Dumbledore together couldn’t pull this off. Even with the Washington post helping out.
