House Republicans say they'll go for a temporary extension of the debt ceiling in exchange for a "real commitment" from President Obama and Democrats to talk about the nation's pressing problems.

At a news conference Thursday morning, House Speaker John Boehner said Republicans are ready to "move half way -- half way to what (Obama's) demanded."

I'm not so sure. I caught a little of Rush today and he made the point that the CR will continue and the House will continue focusing on obamacare.

I think the Pubs also keep the "reasonable" position in the image battle. The Pubs are never going to be treated fairly in the media, but it's hard to blame them when the Rats won't negotiate or pass small funding bills for veterans or kids with cancer.
