John McCain said Wednesday that there was never a chance of defunding Obamacare, blaming politicians who said it was possible for the current government shutdown. “We started this on a fool’s errand, convincing so many millions of Americans and our supporters that we could defund Obamacare,” McCain (R-Ariz.) told Wolf Blitzer on CNN. “[That] obviously wouldn’t happen until we had 67 Republican senators to override a presidential veto.”

Even if defunding fails, the GOP has clearly positioned itself as the anti-Obamacare party.
As more and more people are pushed, pulled and forced into this nightmare, it will be the GOP that they will turn toward.

The point behind the “defund” by Cruz always was a “tsunami” of anti-ObamaCare action. If it had hit during the defund effort, then it would have derailed ObamaCare.
It is starting to hit.
At a minimum we should demand of our legislators:
An end to any requirement for anyone to perform or participate or be involved in any capacity with anything that violates their religious beliefs as defined by them. This is for businesses, individuals, groups, churches, journalists, etc....anyone.
An end to anything related to death counseling, death panels, cost benefit analysis of any procedure based on age, disability, ability, infirmity, weakness, survivability, etc.
An end to anything that prevents any patient from attempting to be seen by the doctor of their choice.
