Didn’t need to read any farther than Republican Leader Mitch McConnell. They better be in it for the long haul now, Cave, and lose big in 2014. They will be blamed for the shut down by low information voters, and the base will stay home angry.

Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) and Susan Collins are not part of a bipartisan group they are both screaming liberal scumbags.

All of this is just playing kick the can unless there are serious proposals to reduce spending.

Reaching the debt limit would result in instant budget balancing.

Uhhhh, what right does the senate have to negotiate a settlement. Reid needs to be negotiating with the house. The senate can do nothing about the budget impass. I’m not sure they can do anything other than approve a measure passed by the house.

The Democrats do not want a deal. It is all or nothing. Senate GOP needs to shut up and quit badmouthing each other. The enemy is not us. Perhaps they might take a spell and figure out how to dump all this where it belongs. On Obama and Harry Reid.

Now they just look like the fools that we know so many of them to be. The senior GOP thought they were so smart and now they get kicked in the arse.

Regardless of what RINO Collins proposes and Reid and McConnell work out, the House Republicans are already saying her proposal has serious flaws which makes it unacceptable according to an interview of a Representative on FOX.

Good! The Republicans need to stop quivering and stop negotiating. The only thing saving us right now is Obama stopping them from throwing away their power!!

Why would Rats want it to end? They know the shutdown is mostly just for show, and as they see it, the GOP is comitting political suicide.

For sure, they want no one with an R after their name associated with any resolution.

There is nothing Harry Reid wants to hear from Mitch McConnell except ‘’I surrender.’’

So, unless Mitch McConnell is planning to cave, he should NOT be meeting with Harry Reid, except maybe to read him the section of the Constitution that states, ‘’All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives.’’

If John Boehner and the House stand firm, a meeting between Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid has no more significance than a meeting between two drunks at a neighborhood bar.

The House must stand firm.

They can talk and pretend all they want, but the fact of the matter is that it’s the House and NOT the Senate that controls the public purse.
