NORTH DAKOTA -- A former North Idaho man who battled the Environmental Protection Agency has been arrested and charged with sex trafficking in North Dakota.

Michael Sackett, 47, made his first court appearance in federal court Tuesday.

Sackett faces charges for attempting to entice an underage girl across state lines to engage in a commercial sex act.

Sackett and his wife Chantell made headlines when they fought the EPA over some land they bought in Priest Lake that was later determined to be wetlands by the agency.

The couple brought their fight all the way to the Supreme Court and won.

Sackett will be back in court Friday.

“May be time to throw this thing away”

Won’t matter, you’ll have one even if you don’t.

Looks like three men have been charged.

Some sort of sweep or sting operation?

What is "handy one"?

As is a 'handy tactic for the Democrat machine to use in framing an Enemy of the State', a classification which apparently now applies to this poor sucker.

For the record, I have no tolerance for those who engage in this practice as charged; but that said, I'm definitely withholding judgment on this one for all of the obvious conspiratorial reasons.

Bingo. This was “attempting” to entice some “underage” girl. IOW, it was all on the computer/phone and could have been planted.

Stinks. If he’s innocent, he’s better hire an expert to untangle the mess.

Is he stupid and committing a crime when he should have known everything he would do for life would be monitored by enemies who want him disgraced and imprisoned for life? Or was he an innocent person set up when he did nothing illegal (and perhaps even nothing immoral)? With the illegitimate regime in power today, I have no clue, but I would have trouble voting guilty without evidence that could not have been manufactured by the feds.

Thanks for that link. I noticed this from the article:

"Miller has sealed complaints and affidavits in the cases on the motion of Assistant U.S. Attorney Gary Delorme. In a motion to seal, Delorme wrote that the documents contain information that could compromise ongoing criminal investigations and jeopardize the safety of undercover agents."

Remember this big flap? Mr. and Mrs. Sackett bought a lot in the suburbs, planning to build their dream home. EPA gov worker decides he wants the lot, and declares it wetlands. Sacketts took their fight all the way to the Supreme Court, and won.

(not the land in question)

Sackett and his wife Chantell made headlines when they fought the EPA over some land they bought in Priest Lake that was later determined to be wetlands by the agency.

The couple brought their fight all the way to the Supreme Court and won.

But then...

If the government wants to find porn on your computer, they will.

Article, # 6 , # 8 , esp # 15.

Another article names Sackett’s attorney...

‘A Bismarck attorney representing Sackett in the criminal case, Jacob Rodenbiker, did not respond to a request for comment on Friday.”

If it was real they would have had the girl say she’d meet him but instead have the police meet him there with handcuffs.

In this day and age that is the level of evidence that should be necessary to prove this kind of claim. And maybe law enforcement people can say better, but I think that’s the usual protocol for catching true predators who target girls online. If it isn’t, it should be.

Actually, that has turned into a sport for small town police departments all over the US. They found out that with the Internet, they could lure predators to Podunk, so a town of 1500 might get three or four major felony busts, and their police chief would get reelected forever.

I’ve long thought they could use this technique to nail violent jihadis. Just let it be known on the Internet that Salman Rushdie, Benjamin Netanyahu and George W. Bush are meeting in an isolated cabin near Podunk. Then when a carload full of explosives and dumbasses show up, the local cops with deer rifles dispatch them, and drop them and their car down an abandoned mineshaft.

The message here is:

People who believe the EPA is all about government control and a violation of the U.S. Constitution, must be criminals and twisted sadistic pedophiles.

If you fight the Gov. you can end up with them trying to run you down with a unmarked car. Or a snitch trying to be you new best buddy. I may not always drink beer but I always watch my 6.
