Republican disarray and infighting ate up most conservative commentary in the first few weeks of October. What was Ted Cruz thinking? Will John Boehner show some backbone? Can anyone lead this party?
But the Right's most prominent commentator kept his eye trained on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. For all the hyped indignation over GOP anarchism,' Charles Krauthammer's Oct. 10 Washington Post column began, there has been remarkable media reticence about the president's intransigence.
Krauthammer isn't a Ted Cruz cheerleader he's knocked Cruz and his allies as the Kamikaze Brigade. Krauthammer also isn't above intra-Republican fighting he spearheaded the 2002 campaign to oust Trent Lott from the Senate majority leader job after Lott's offhand praise for Strom Thurmond's segregationist presidential campaign.
Krauthammer just believes that President Obama deserves more scrutiny and criticism than hes getting that Obamas leftward pull on the country poses real danger. And nobody is in a better position to provide that criticism than Krauthammer.

Krauthammer is an intellectual pundit who has failed to launch. He gets the George Will Award for Mealy Mouthing.
A Communist is a Communist. Launch that.
0bama, Reid, McConnell, Krauthammer, etc.
Let’s note that The Kraut served as a speech writer to vice president Walter Mondale.
Good read, thanks for posting.
I’m very, very tired of Krauthammer and his mumblings.
That’s right - No one is allowed to change sides.
We never want ex-liberals & dem voters to support conservative views & policies. This is a closed club, stay out.
Krauthammer is a stone Liberal in who hides behind his pontifications. We should all hail “Sir Charles” because he is smarter than anyone.(sarc) His predictions have been incorrect in the last two elections and his opinions are like water. That is, he goes the way of least resistance which usually leads downhill.
I think Obama is someone who loves campaigning but doesn’t like being in office. So like the dog who chased the car and finally caught it, he didn’t know what to do once he got the prize. I think he enjoys the trappings of the presidency but I don’t think he likes being president. He sure doesn’t like working with Congress, even his own party. I think that’s why he spends so much time travelling around in campaign mode. It’s the only part he likes, and the only part he’s good at.
The Kraut’s leash is long, but not long enough.
Charles is just another DC-infested invested token conservative who makes his living being what the DC media likes to have as someone they can call “conservative” but who is more than ready to provide subtle subtext that says “Republicans are wrong about everything.”
Screw him. He’s nothing but a pawn in the elitist pundit game of hanger-on power, influence and money.
The only reason his name is being brought up lately is that he’s just written a book so that he can cash in on his “loyal opposition” career.
He’s not worth listening to or reading from in any capacity in my opinion. Class him with George Will, and all the rest of DC’s “media conservative loyal opposition.”
you just described community organizing & acedemia.....
krauthammer is a progressive big government dim... raised a dim... parents were huge leftists... he worked for catah and mundull and wrote speeches vilifying Reagan... to trust krauthammer is to trust an enemy.
When someone joins your team... you expect them to STOP playing for the other team.
I turn the talking head off. He makes me ill.
Let’s not, because it was thirty years ago, and because it’s juvenile thinking.
Will Krauthammer ever appear again with George Will on the panel?
Since the first time George Will made Krauthammer look a little foolish, I can’t remember the two appearing together since.
Maybe Biden can give us a “stand up Charles” moment.
