Senator Ron Johnson (R., Wis.) announced today that next week he will file legislation that will allow Americans to keep their previous health-insurance plans, as President Obama promised. The proposed bill, entitled the “If you Like Your Health Plan, You Can Keep It Act,” would, according to Johnson’s statement amend the Affordable Care Act “to make Obamacare live up to the promises of the politicians who sold the plan to the American public.”

One of the most important promises made by President Obama and Democrat congressional leadership to promote the Affordable Care Act was that Americans who were satisfied with their health plans could keep them. That promise has been broken. More than a million Americans have been notified that the plans they like with the coverage they have chosen have been canceled. Millions more Americans will have the plans of their choice canceled in months to come.

The problem is that many of these insurances people liked are gone now. Obamacare killed them.
It’s a little late after the insurance companies have canceled thousands of policies.
That was the plan all along, run the insurance out of business and force people into Obamacare. It is working. At least they are being forced out of having insurance.
Obama said he would insure 30 million people who had no insurance instead he has stolen the policies of million of Americans who got canceled.
They'd be doing a lot more besides. I hope our side can think of more of those things too.
Is this law going to prevent a company from dropping a healthcare plan and throw its employees on the exchanges? If not, then it can’t garantee anything...

This is hilarious, but part of me thinks it might be better for the Dems to just fail without any help.
“You can keep it” won’t help much when it’s the employers and insurance companies who are throwing people off. “You can keep it” is going to be up to them, not the individual.
Too late for me. I got a letter last week my policy is termintated as of 1-1-14. I am livid at the Administration, John Roberts, the Media and anyone with a D next to their name. They are my sworn enemy. They took away my health care with nary a thought and could not care less if I live or die.
There are millions of young healthy Americans who like not having health insurance.

Sounds like too little, too late. With all the lead time for ZeroCare, he should have been ahead of the curve months or even years ago.

Actually they want you to die when your working taxpaying days are over. Don’t pay any attention to the politicians who say they are going to do this and that regarding obamacare. They are just stalling for time and pacifying the sheep like the Republicans that said,”Elect me and I will repeal obamacare in 2010. The Republican Senators showed how they actually felt regarding obamacare in the cloture vote. Ted Cruz had the Democrats by the balls and was squeezing [winning] when he was stabbed in the back by the Republicans in the Senate.
Did Levin explain how it screws it up? Seems like a lifeline to me.

This is a good move, because win, lose, or draw, it makes the Demwits look like the a-holes that they are for passing the Obamanation — without knowing what’s in it — in the first place.
