Lib Cartoonist Ted Rall: 'Truth Behind ACA Mess Is Obama and His Gang of Golfing Buddies Are Idiots' By Noel Sheppard Created 10/27/2013 - 10:46am

People familiar with liberal cartoonist and polemicist Ted Rall will be shocked by a piece he published at Daily Kos Friday wherein he actually agreed with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.

Trust me, they'll likely be even more shocked with what he had to say about President Obama.

At the center of Rall's piece was Palin's October 20 article wherein she joined a number of conservative commentators in claiming ObamaCare was intentionallly screwed up in order to bring about the liberal dream of a single-payer system.

After citing much of her piece, Rall opined:

If Team Obama had been plotting Canadian-style socialized medicine all along, they wouldn't have floated all those dumb "heckuva job, Barry"-style excuses that turned healthcare.gov into the president's Katrina moment:

• Too much volume. But corporate websites routinely handle more than the ACA sites. Besides, the feds knew that, in a nation with tens of millions of uninsured people, tens of millions of people were going to check out the website. The truth, as any idiot could plainly see, was that volume wasn't the issue. Lousy coding was.

• ACA is "more than a website" — and anyway, why don't people use the phone? Actually, that's not true. For most people, the ACA are the websites. That's how Obamacare was promoted. People were told to go online. So they did. As for those who threw up their hands and tried calling — I was one of them — there was no way to buy a plan by phone.

• Everyone knew there would be glitches. The problem with that Democratic talking point is that while Americans may suffer from short memories, they're not totally retarded. We still recall September 2013. It's not like anyone in the White House announced before the launch: "Hey, don't freak if you can't access the websites right away. Chillax, wait a month or two. We're expecting a lot of glitches, and things could be less than cromulent for a while."

No, Governor Palin, the truth behind the ACA mess is that Obama and his gang of golfing buddies are idiots.

Now before folks faint, be reminded that in 2011, Rall said he was having a hard time getting anyone to publish his anti-Obama pieces. As such, this is a rare liberal willing to expose the emperor's nakedness.

He continued:

Primarily, Obama and the Democrats were idiots to think that the ACA's bastard hybrid of public and private could function properly — certainly not on "a project of such immense complexity. The federal exchange must communicate with other contractors and with databases of numerous federal agencies and more than 170 insurance carriers."

Look at what happened to the Postal Service: neither beast nor fowl, the uncomfortable marriage of for-profit business and Congressionally mandated payouts has pushed an otherwise viable organization to the brink of collapse.

Interesting that Rall would use the Postal Service. Conservatives did the same thing in fighting the enactment of ObamaCare. Amtrak and the DMV were also favorites.

After citing another paragraph from Palin's piece which concluded that we're heading to "full socialized medicine," Rall ended his article astonishingly writing, "I never thought I'd say this, but: From Sarah Palin's lips to God's ears."

Imagine how shocked Kossacks must have been reading that.

There’s been a subtle shift in the media to refer to it as ACA now, not OBAMACARE.

I say, label it HUACA (Hussein’s UnAffordable Care Act).

HUAC wasn’t ACTUALLY called HUAC either. It was HCUAA but the Reds took to calling the House Committee itself Un-American.

I’ve said from the beginning it should be called Democratcare. Because that is exactly what it is. Written, passed, implemented 100% by democrats.

Good one! I like HUAC best to eventually replace the CP-USA's HUAC used to malign the House Committee on Un-American Activities in the 1950s..

He’s also too stupid to understand that with a master/slave model, he’d be a slave.

Thanks Sub-Driver. Calling the Kenyan an idiot is a nice change — in the past the sniveling party-line shills only blamed someone for what Zero had intercoursed up.

I just did a search for

huac obama

and it asked did I mean Barack Obama..

Barack Huac Obama
Huac Obama

No one seems to have it except for this thread. Could be a good domain name.

I recall one time when a FReeper had a good candidate for a domain name someone joined FR that day, claimed he already registered the name and had an ongoing enterprise to use the name. A whois search revealed that he registered the name that very same day it appeared on FR.

As if IRS agents snooping about your lifestyle choices (diet, alcohol, smoking, exercise, gun ownership, mental health, et al) is somehow LESS of an imposition of government into the private lives of US citizens than investigations of bomb throwing, Communist flag waving radicals.

But clearly the sheeple are okay with bedroom police so long as same sex sodomy and abortion are legal.

I'd love to use stuff that the 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats used to "bring it all down, man"; and after decades of infiltration and indoctrination they are, along with their ideological issue, arguably the Establishment.

It's our turn to "Bring it all down, man!"

RE: the demonstration and protest sign in reply #25

The 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats were celebrated in the establishment MSM as the most intelligent generation ever! They are now arguably that very establishment that praised them and they hold themselves and their ideological issue in even higher regard.

It's likely that the MSM employees handed out the signs for the sake of the camera.. they used to hand out red, yellow, and blue "protest banners" at "anti-war," pro-Viet Cong rallies. (the banners were of course Viet Cong flags but the employees of the MSM called them protest banners.)

I'm beginning to see Chief Justice Roberts wisdom in deciding that Obamacare was a legitimately processed law, however bad it might be.

The Supreme Court has one job: to interpret and apply the US Constitution properly. Playing Machiavellian politics with legal precedents is definitely NOT the job of the Supreme Court. Even if I believed that Roberts had enough balls and brains (I don't) to implement some anti-ObamaCare strategy using judicial review, I'd still be pissed BECAUSE THAT ISN'T HIS JOB. It would be, in fact, a dereliction of his sworn duty.

Now, if some positive elements are gained from the ridiculous Supreme Court decision and the implementation of Obamacare, then great, but Roberts was and still is either an idiot or a traitor.

Maybe I am suffering from a basic reading skill set, but this last bit appears to me that Rall is wishing for ‘full socialized medicine’, not a fear of it.

From Wikipedia, we have ...

"Machiavellianism", is a widely used negative term to characterize unscrupulous politicians of the sort Machiavelli described in The Prince.

Please note that Chief Justice Roberts is not a politician.

A single payer plan is the stated goal according to Adolf oboozo and Harry Reid. So, is the ACA designed to fail and orchestrated so the government can usher in and implement a government offered single payer health insurance agency? It is really starting to look like that is the case but is there even a more sinister ploy beyond what we are see today? Once the government has a single payer agency in place and the rest of the entire health insurance industry has been decimated and 50+% of all doctors have become unemployed, who’s to say this elite establishment run government won’t eliminate its own single payer health insurance program in order to eliminate more of the American middle class through attrition? After all it is predominately the middle class workers who are the resistors of socialism and the NWO. That would be a cheap and a non immediate and complicit way for the elites to essentially kill more Americans.

Back in 2002, conservative blogger John Hawkins said that if you locked a 14-year-old in a room with a black marker and a copy of the Communist Manifesto, what you’d get would look exactly like Ted Rall’s cartoons.

Please note that Chief Justice Roberts is not a politician.

If he were playing games with Supreme Court decisions in order to achieve some long-term result, rather than simply basing decisions on Constitutional law, then a politician is EXACTLY what he would be.
