PBS.org ^ | October 28, 2013 | By: Julie Appleby and Anna Gorman Health plans are sending hundreds of thousands of cancellation letters to people who buy their own coverage, frustrating some consumers who want to keep what they have and forcing others to buy more costly policies. The main reason insurers offer is that the policies fall short of what the Affordable Care Act requires starting Jan. 1. The cancellation notices, which began arriving in August, have shocked many consumers in light of President Barack Obama's promise that people could keep their plans if they liked them. Some receiving cancellations say it looks like their costs will go up, despite studies projecting...

I’d also be subtracting out the Medicare “adds”.

Do Medicare “adds” count as signups? We’ll probably never know.

Pure propaganda from a commie political hack.

Why are insurance companies changing their plans? Because ACA requires them to do so. She knows this and is lying through her teeth expecting the Democrat constituency to swallow this hook, line, and sinker.

My company leadership is receiving a briefing tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM from Blue Cross explaining the changes that they are required to make. They have no choice and our costs will increase approximately 25%. That’s today’s figure, it will be more once the rollout disaster is taken into account. This nasty little turn of events could easily destroy our little $12 million per year company. I have already seen the briefing and have a number of probing questions for the Blue Cross guy. But, he is not the problem. The problem is our government.

Of course nothing in O'Care is "forcing" people out of their health plans. They were too slick to pull that one. Here's a FACT for Ms Jarrett: Anyone can keep their existing policy assuming they no longer want to eat or pay their mortgage.

There's no way the Admin couldn't have known private insurance rates would go through the roof. But then again, like Benghazi, like the IRS, like......

Valerie Jarrett: FACT: Nothing in #Obamacare forces people out of their health plans. No change is required unless insurance companies change existing plans,

FACT: Everything in #Obamacare forces the insurance companies to CANCEL existing plans as these plans are not able to be IN COMPLIANCE with the obstructing, impeding Obamacare....Hence people are now forced out of their plans.

Hmmmm...misdirecting and word play...nice try Valerie

Check out her handle - VJ44. She actually believes SHE is the 44th President. Come to think of it, compared to the dolt in the empty suit and his idiot wife, she is the only semblance of brains there - communist, Iranian Muslim "brains" that is.

Actually, millions have already been told they CANNOT keep their policy because it no longer meets the O-care requirements.

Some are hiking costs, but many are being cancelled completely.

I imagine that this means the trouble would be based upone how much the next admin will enforce this law, similar to how immigration laws are enforced.

When I left my job, I had the ‘option’ of buying COBRA coverage. That premium was a third of my new monthly income.
Obamacare is a lot like that: a government clusterf***.
This isn’t going to end well and when it hits the fan—don’t show any mercy to Democrats, the evil, grasping b******s. They don’t deserve any.
