Deception: In the face of millions of cancellation notices, Democrats want to downplay the president's "keep your health plan" pledge as standard political hyperbole. It was, in fact, a calculated lie that got ObamaCare enacted.
To understand why, let's freshen up on a little health care reform history.
Back in 1994, when Bill Clinton was pushing his own version of "comprehensive health reform," the insurance industry launched its infamous "Harry and Louise" ads to deliver a simple message: The Clinton plan would force families to give up their own health plans.
In one of these, the middle-class couple pours over a pile of documents at the kitchen table, while a narrator intones about how "things are changing, and not all for the better," and how "the government may force us to pick from a few plans designed by government bureaucrats."

Notice how much Repuglicans are protesting about Obamas lie. They are NOT. I haven’t heard ONE. You would think every Rep. Senator would be screaming from the rooftops about this but of course once again they hide under their desk and crawl into a fetal position and let the twice unconstitutionally elected Islamic Kenyan get away with it again just like they did with Benghazi and every other thing this puke does. “Oh let’s bash Ted Cruz instead...Obama is our Fuhrer! We cannot criticize der Fuhrer!”
And nobody was “talking about taking that plan away from you!”
It was the only truthful part of his comment all those lies ago.
If enough people say “take this law and shove it,” then ObamaCare will collapse. The big issue it to get the young and healthy to sign up for ObamaCare. They are the ones who will be funding it. They are also some of Obama’s biggest supporters.
If ObamaCare can be destroyed before the Democrats have a chance to set up a single payer system, and before the insurance industry is destroyed, then there is a chance.
I wonder what that middle-class couple is pouring over that kitchen table.
I saw Johnny Isakson’s outgoing chief of staff, Chris Carr, speak a few weeks ago. He spent as much or more time attacking Ted Cruz as he did Democrats.
The “debate” as to whether he “lied” or not is proof positive that the fix is in with our rulers. “You can keep your plan” was the watchcry. It was not only a lie it is FRAUD. Obama should be impeached. Rather, he should be hounded out of office. And the nerve of the left blaming the insurance companies. Rule for radicals.
If, as some of the more truthful rats are saying,
they had to lie because people would be too stupid to know
that they new plans were better than the old -
then who’s “stupid”?
No conservative believed you could “keep your plan” under Obamacare.
It must be the left’s constituency that are too stupid.
Obamacare is like a really really bad joke from a terrible comedian.
Just don’t patronize it, acknowledge it or even scorn it, and bad comedians always get the stage hook.
If nobody shows up for the party then it takes all the steam out of it, right now even IF the ACA websites did function STILL America has woke up to the fact its all a joke, a massive bait and switch.
And all we can hope for now is some situation that will suddenly arise that will remove Obama from office.
Those are bad policies being cancelled, expensive and not worth the paper they are written on, huge out of pocket costs.
The insurance companies are canceling them because of the market, Obamacare doesnt make them do anything.
We cant force insurance companies to offer those crappy policies, its a free market.
Of course we cant allow insurance companies to rip Americans off, they are getting much better plans at lower prices through ACA,
It’s unbelievable isn’t it, this is exactly why this country is in the huge mess it is in, we have a fanatic allowed to run amok without anyone holding him back. What does he have to fear? He’s got Republicans bowing to him.
You know exactly why he doesn’t have anything to fear.
He can do anything he darn well pleases, without consequences,
because of his skin tone.
And this is why the left put him in power.
These losers are too big to fail... hahaha. Trent Lot during Bill’s impeachment said it was a threat to democracy to have him impeached. Democracy, ie the evil impulse of materialist communism becomes their god.
It is no surprize they rely on the pimping fashions of hate and abortion instead of addressing issues to Obama. These people are cowards and dangerous. They stand by Hitler and are not much different than Sadam’s parliament.
He lied, misrepresenting the truth.
Fraud is a felony. A president's committing a felony is impeachable.
Obama must be impeached.
They lied and they don’t care. 0bama and his team is toast, and they don’t care. That’s why they fired Hillary so she would be clean and not tainted by this administration’s failures, and run for president.
That's all they GAF about, really. Preservation of capital first and foremost. That's why they go along with the socialists, they've just gotta figure out a way to make a buck off of it and then they're cool with it.
The Senator from my own state who's also an obstetrician is a good example.
Obozocare has been rammed down our throats because way too many gullible people forgot a reality check and believed a bunch of lies, besides it has nothing to do with compassion but all with confiscation and re-distribution of wealth and to increase and multiply the ignorant socialistic voter base who is always hoping, wishing and expecting something for nothing. Wait until Obozocare is fully implemented and reality sets in and it will hit people in the pocket book.
Promising unrealistic cheap health care, handing out free cell phones all designed to buy votes and dumb and ignorant people fell for it. What will it be next....free TV’s, cars etc. It certainly is reminiscent of ancient Rome where the emperor built a coliseum to entertain and pacify the public in order to keep them docile. Here and now, the left uses different methods and trinkets in order to BS the already mostly befuddled and ignorant public. History has a nasty habit of repeating itself.
Eventually I see us going back to Barbers for our medical needs.
President Nixon was almost impeached for lying about a political burglary.
