I wanted one, too, just for the fun of it. I settled on the .30/30 brass. And an AR-7. In camo. Next up, a Golden Boy. The dealer didn’t have a Mare’s leg at the time.
In rural Alaska, everybody favors military rifles for hunting. I really like the 2 point slings off snowmachine & 4 wheeler. Do ya hunt with your guns?
Hayward
I am not a hunter, but I have AK builds in lots of flavors.
If I was in Alaska I would carry .308 or 762x54R
That should do it at 500 yards
To anyone reading this, you might enjoy “American Guns: A History of America in 10 Guns” or something. I did not memorize the title.
It just came out by Chris Kyle posthumously who is the recently deceased Seal sniper of “American Sniper”. I’m reading it now.
Oh, I meant to add:
I am very exited about the one on the bottom
It has a ghost ring site and a nice red/green dot optic that has 2X and is night vision compatible, and is chambered for 5.45x39 which is as cheap to shoot today as 22LR.
It is a tack driver
Oh, the home of the “World’s Largest Muskie”!
Why do we fish for muskies?
Because they are worthy opponents.
Hook one and hang on.
You’ll save gas as they will haul you all around to the honey holes for hours
Someone who knows how needs to spread the message that the December issue of Guns and Ammo has an article on the last page by Dick Metcalf trying to explain to us rednecks and survivalists don’t really understand that the second amendment actually means arms should be regulated. and that gun owners should be trained by the state.
The word needs to get out.
I think you did it.
“Free Samples”?What are you,A DemonRat??????????
Henry Arms to manufacture in WI (more jobs)
FReep mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
Welcome to Wisconsin, Henry Repeating...
Wisconsin is becoming a gun friendly state.
My local technical college just completed a new firing range that will be open to the public. They also have very high quality CCW courses, dirt cheap, taught by their law enforcement staff that goes beyond the state requirements with time in their simulators. Under $40 and you get one on one time in scenarios with quality instructors.
...and my local police chief went to businesses encouraging them to NOT post the “no weapons” signs in their businesses after the CCW law was passed. It makes me laugh when I pass the pacifist, fair-trade store and fail to see a “no weapons” sign in the window. I can carry my sidearm and buy elephant dung paper notepads.
Now, we need to get rid of the anachronistic 48 hour waiting period for handgun sales.
“Now, we need to get rid of the anachronistic 48 hour waiting period for handgun sales.”
And the insane Gun Free School Zone law.
They look like a LOT of fun. Is that extra furniture under the table?
Interesting - the BX at Keesler AFB had a couple last time I looked. Finally got some Base/Wing leadership to re-institute selling firearms/ammo on the old air pad.
I have a Henry Big Boy in 45 Colt I use for CAS and it is indeed heavy, but a hoot to shoot.
