Whether we were feared or loved, America was always the outsized standard by which all others were compared. --

Well, today, to many people, we look like the definition of a drunken driver like a lifelong mentor who has gone on a binge and is no longer predictable. And, as for defining the future, the country that showed the world how to pull together to put a man on the moon and defeat Nazism and Communism, today broadcasts a politics dominated by three phrases: You cant do that, Its off the table and The president didnt know.

I’m thinking Friedman will be getting a call from Obama’s handlers & minions
Kind of like the US was under Peanut Boy.
Gas shortages, stunning interest rates, foreign policy fails, etc. I remember those dark days well.
With the all-out efforts of the MSM, the Baraqqi Regime was able to fake it past Nov 2012.
The next 3 yrs will be quite dismal.
The New York Slimes is drifting off the plantation with this one.
communism is alive and well and running things from the White House.
By the end of the essay he’s drinking his Kool-Aid again.
Friedman will be found hanging from the rafters of his garage soon.
“By the end of the essay hes drinking his Kool-Aid again.”
Yeah, I know. It was good while it lasted, though
LOL
I always believed that Jimmy was sincere and incredibly inept.
Maybe I’m naive but I still see him apart (and above) from the Chicago Mob and the Clinton Crime Family.
The editorial conference room at this paper ‘of record’ must look like the kitchen of a family whose kid just got into some serious trouble with permanent consequences. And the lawyers are pacing

We don't have national health insurance, we don't have gun control, we don't have government financing of elections, and so forth. Friedman is a statist. Although he made some good observations in “The World is Flat,” almost all his policy recommendations involved more government spending, more government programs etc.
I cannot think of a single government program that Tom Friedman wants to reduce or eliminate. Quite a contrast to the other Friedman (Milton).
What’d he say.? Can’t stand to read the lib!
This call has been intercepted by the NSA, the party you are trying to reach is no longer available.
“Calling America: Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello?”

Calling Friedman....FU and your Dem Destroyers
or where we just had a minority of a minority threaten to undermine Americas credit rating if we didnt overturn an enacted law on health care; or where we cant pass even the most common sense gun law banning assault weapons after the mass murder of schoolchildren?
Well it was good while it lasted.
Yeah I thought it too good to be true so I linked to the article, Friedman has no sense of direction and has no compass, and he didn’t miss the opportunity to blame Bush a little.
