Republicans turned back several challenges by Democrats as the GOP retained a solid majority in the Virginia House of Delegates.
Democrat Jeremy McPike narrowly defeated Republican incumbent Scott Lingamfelter in unofficial returns Tuesday, but several other Republicans survived and the GOP kept 10 seats vacated by Republicans.

It’s the same computerized systems. The precinct in Pocahontas Va probably isn’t run by a Rhodes Scholar either but they get their numbers in on time.
It doesn’t take 2.5 hours to tabulate the votes. Those numbers were being held.
As far as I can tell, none of these is a statewide level official, meaning senator, governor, lieutenant governor or state AG.

Racial quotas mean that lots of black government workers are way underqualified for their jobs. Affirmative action supercharges the Peter Principle. This is why lines at urban post offices staffed by blacks generally take forever to clear whereas lines at post offices staffed by non-blacks seem to clear pretty rapidly. I expect the same mechanism is at work at urban polling stations staffed by blacks.

Fits with my personal experiences. I never really thought about it before, but after one particularly excruciating hour-long wait during the dog days of summer, when the post office AC was out, I started monitoring the race of the people who served me at post offices back before they consolidated the lines the way banks do. And the slowest lines were always manned by blacks.
I think that is an answer in search of data to support it.

The only way to stop or at least blunt the cheating is for the rural and suburban precincts to hold back their vote totals, saying to Richmond, NOVA, Fairfax, and the other Dem strong holds....”uhhh, you folks report first!” Then the rurals/ suburbans need to hold back about 20 per cent of their totals until after the cities report..then issue final corrected totals. Staggering the reporting will disrupt the cheating in such a way that the cheaters risk exposure.
No doubt Sarvis got a nice little tip from the Clintons. Bill and Hill got their man in the Virginia governorship and now they’re gearing up for 2016. Meanwhile, our side gets outmaneuvered by the Dems in Virginia and we’re doing another circular firing squad on each other. What else is new.

Totally agree...Scott in VA was noticing how convenient it was that deepest, darkest Norfolk was interestingly slow in reporting their numbers.

If you watch the thread with the precinct % reporting, Cuccinelli starts falling dramatically at about 50% reporting. Simple statistics would tell you that he should have stayed almost the same. There is no reason for Democrat strongholds to come in later than all other precincts unless something was afoot.
They needed to keep it close so it wouldn’t be so obvious like it was in PA and OH in 2012.
We may have seen the end of Republicans winning state-wide elections In Virginia. However, all of this is dependent on money flowing to the precincts. McAuliffe got a last minute infusion of cash but those prices may start going up.
Our strategy should be to start voting in Democrat primaries to choose better candidates.

Well, who are we going to put up against Sen. Warner? We need to do it fast, the good people of VA stood up for Ken WITHOUT GOPe help, and the filing deadline must be fast approaching.
Everybody needs to understand last night was a TEA PARTY WIN. Going against the Clinton machine with no money, we very nearly won, except for the Clinton-financed Sarvis siphoning off the two points that would have put us over.
WITH NO HELP FROM THE ESTABLISHMENT.
I’m not convinced Sarvis was a problem. Ken was kicking ass all night until the heel used the gimmick to get the win. If Sarvis has been AWOL, they still would have found the votes. Of the people I know who voted for Sarvis, all leaned McAuliffe. After all, Cuccinelli was going to ban tampons. Who could vote for someone that “extreme”?
Can we beat Warner? Doubt it. Focus on the House and hope for a scandal. Our BEST bet is to get him a primary opponent. Make the Democrats pay twice for his seat.
You guys need to get off of that crutch of blaming libertarians for your party’s poor choices in candidates. And if even the both Pauls can’t get libertarians to vote for your boy, it probably means the GOP really poisoned the well in VA. Maybe your wives and/or girlfriends eagerly come running back to you after you smack them in the mouth, but libertarians don’t. We’re funny that way.
