going house to house banging on doors at 2:30 AM. Some groggy guy was woken up thinking it was the SWAT team looking for a dog to shoot....

Does seem odd. But, I know some women that would call a girlfriend for help, explain the whole situation, the girlfriend would explain how she can’t help because she is out with Marcus, you remember Marcus - he was the tall guy that we met at the game and he was wearing....
After a few calls like and hours later someone finally tells her to call the cops. But the phone dies.
The Detroit News and the Detroit Free Press report McBride, of Detroit, was killed by a shotgun blast in Dearborn Heights early Saturday. Her family says she likely approached the home to seek help after getting into a car accident. She apparently was on the porch when she was shot. How “early” Saturday, the report doesn’t say.
Dearborn Heights is approximately 84% white according to the city-data website.
I only imagined that some guy was rudely woken up at 2:30, still more asleep than not thought the cops have come to shoot the dog and grabs his gun.
Probably still groggy until the gun went off (we know these things have minds of their own, like SUV’s).
