So are you saying we should ban girls from youth and school wrestling just because they are not, on average, as good as boys at wrestling?

I guess I am confused as to your point.

Some on this post want to ban girls from wrestling because they hate the thought of boys touching girls’ privates through fabric.

Some on this post want to ban girls from wrestling because God told them “Thou shalt not let girls wrestle.”

Some on this post want to ban girls from wrestling because boys may get a boner and be embarassed during the match.

Some on this post want to ban girls from wrestling because girls are just plain inferior to boys.

Some on this post want to ban girls from wrestling because it makes boys into sissies and girls into butches.

Some on this post want to ban girls from wrestling because when children get older, boys get stronger than girls so there is no point in letting girls enjoy the sport in the first place.

Just wondering what your real point is.

..and the most common concern they DON'T express is: She's a girl, I'm afraid I might lose to her. :)

until after the match.

Speaking as a wrestler, it might not be such a bad thing. Bring the discipline aspects from coed judo or martial arts classes.

they wear cups. you’d see the turtle poke out of the shell, is what you’d see.

I didn't realize wrestlers wore cups these days. I didn't when I wrestled. I did when I played football and baseball.

There are some girls who can really clean up in the 103 and 112lb weight classes. Between the boys who forfeit instead of wrestling a girl and the little freshman boys who can’t deal with an 18 year old girl who can do a whole lot of weight training and still make weight, there are a few really effective girl wrestlers.

I’ve seen girls use their lower body strength to control a male wrestler.

It happens every day. It has happened every day since girls started wrestling. As I think back, I remember a girl that wrestled on a high school team in Middletown, Ohio in 1978.

I’m sure she wasn’t the first and wasn’t the only girl in the US at that time that wrestled.

I wrestled and although I never faced her, I am sure I wouldn’t have given a rat’s a$$ if it was a boy or a girl. Crotch grabbing in wrestling isn’t sexual. I can guarantee that.

And in all these years since 1978, I don’t remember a single instance of a girl crying foul about getting touched improperly on the mat. Let alone a lawsuit.

As much as you type, I assume that you can read as well. I clearly stated:
“Oh, I am all for it.”

You chose to ignore that for some reason. You conflate whatever issues you have with what others have written and have confused that whole ball of confusion with my very clearly stated thoughts. Re-read what I wrote and read nothing into it. I clearly stated what I wanted to get across. Nothing more or less. I did not mention “boners”, “privates” or anything else you tossed out. My real point is exactly what I wrote. Read. Comprehend. Agree or disagree. I do not care. It is reality if you disagree or not.

Now the ‘girls’ are wondering: “Am I the ‘other one’?”

...and I LOVED the contact, and my high school coach taught us that there are no gentlemen on the football field. On the sidelines, on the street, in class, on campus - we’d darn well better be gentlemen, but on the field we were to be brutes.

Did anyone ever BULLY you?
