Popcorn: Democrats in Disarray, Debating Whether to Turn On Obamacare

Bill Clinton's comments may have been the tipping point. Yesterday, the former president told an interviewer that the White House should keep its promise and honor its commitment on Obama's infamous "keep your plan" pledge. And if there's one person on planet earth whose reputation for honoring both the truth and personal commitments is -- ahem -- unimpeachable, it's him. Snark aside, Clinton's remarks were hugely impactful; not because he was expressing his own personal opinion, but because in doing so, he was extending a tacit permission slip to fellow Democrats. Message: It's okay to abandon Obama by starting to dismantle big parts of this law. His wife, who is widely expected to run for president, had no comment on the matter. And then, as these horrific poll numbers started to seep into the Washington bloodstream, the dam broke:

Feinstein: "I have decided to cosponsor Senator Mary Landrieu’s (D-La.) legislation: Keeping the Affordable Care Act Promise Act."

Feinstein: “Since the beginning of Sept, I have received 30,842 calls, emails & letters..many of whom are very distressed by cancellations"

Yes, that would be liberal California Democrat Dianne Feinstein pledging to co-sponsor Mary Landrieu's iteration of the GOP's "keep your plan" legislation. The House will vote on its own version on Friday, and CNN reports that even Democratic leadership is befuddled as to how members should vote. Accordingly, Friday is now the White House's "de facto deadline" to prevent perhaps dozens of House Democrats from sprinting away from the president, shattering the party's ruthless party discipline on Obamacare in the process:

This desperation mentality is contagious, and it's exceedingly risky for Democrats.

Hey, maybe after Al Franken gets tossed out of the Senate he'll have time to write a new chapter for this book: photo Lies_and_the_lying_liars_zps177534a5.jpg

“OK, I admit I cannot read” - A collective quote from all democrats, formally documented in text and voice by Nancy Pelosi.

There have been articles about “putting the genie back in the bottle” and “toothpaste back in the tube” whether people can truly get back their cancelled policies.

The better approach is to just eliminate all the BS coverage requirements Sebelius put in to 0bamacare. Then let people go out insurers market their policies to consumers, just like before.

Oh wait, that’s a free market approach that puts decision making back in the hands of the individual. Never mind...

I don’t believe it...it’s a trick. The Rats have been salivating over this for over a century, they aren’t about to drop it because they’re taking short-term political hits for it. Government paid (and controlled) healthcare is as sacrosanct as abortion on demand.

You can make book on that.

This is sweet. During the shutdown Dems stayed with Obama 100%,
but now over complete disaster Obamacare rollout they are in a panic running the other way.

Time to joke about a Democrat civil war?

Bill Clinton is smart enough to know that most Democrats need a Sister Soledad moment to win elections in constituencies which are not radical left. I’m just curious how many Freeper know what I am talking about.

Dianne Feinstein, 2009:

“I voted in support of this bill because I believe it remains our best chance at reforming our broken health care system. With this bill, health care transitions from a privilege to a right for all Americans.....”

Al Franken accusing the Republicans of being liars?

What kind of political party turns 180° like a flock of frightened starlings on the "comment" of a man proved by DNA to have been a perjurer and a sex pervert?

That caption was stolen from Cartman on Southpark, he came up with it in early 2000s.

Just realized that Harry Reid has gone MIA on this whole issue. Guess we’ll need a Searchlight to find him.

People told them that this was a consequence of Obamacare,
and they got called “racists” for telling the truth.

Chris Mathews goes to the doctor. The doctor asks him how he's feeling? Mathews responds with a feeling of depression and a lack of feeling in his leg at this point. The doctor checks his Obamacare manual on possible treatments allowed for a 55 year old white male with nerve degeneration in the leg. The doctor schedules Mathews for an outpatient "procedure" to resolve his depression and lack of feeling in his leg.

When Mathews wakes up, his leg is gone(the wrong one), and he has a morphine drip and a Black Panther outreach psychologist reading aloud from Winnie Mandella's quotes on necklacing those who complain about government healthcare.

Now is the time to really push repeal. Enough of this modification stuff. Strike while the iron is hot, and it’s getting hotter.
