‘The presidents “administrative fix” is an attempt to create a lifeboat for ObamaCare to get his party through the 2014-midterm elections,’
It's not a lifeboat, it's the SS Minnow of Gilligan’s Island.

If they are really upset the insurance companies could pull out of the exchanges. It would collapse Obamacare and they could keep all their current customers without having to answer to Obama.

Obama 'kind of threw us under the bus today,' one of the regulators told The New York Times. Getting pretty crowded under there.

Well...I’m glad to see they “get it”. How they react in the long run will be interesting.
I’m not pro-insurance industry by any means...there are good and bad. But they had to comply with the law. And then had to cover the cost of pre-x, no annual yearly or life time cap and “kids” on the parents policy until they are 27 and extra coverage mandates.
What company isn’t going to try to cover those cost by raising prices?

Of course Obama is setting the regulators and insurance companies up. During his spiel, he basically tossed the problem to them. Now, if it fails, Obama will have them to blame.

Faux anger by the companies. bammer is going to give them a bailout. He will buy them off.

How is it that not a single news reporter was able to gather up the gumption to ask Obama this single question?;
Mr. Obama? How is it you think you have the power to amend a law by fiat...the literal law of the land...and bypassing Congress to do it?
As a follow up; "Do you see yourself as King of America?"

The boards of all these insurance companies will demand legal opinion letters from their outside counsel firms concluding that the deal Obama proposing is legal and won’t expose the companies to undue liability and risk. Not gonna happen.
To: Windflier
So... is the President TELLING insurers to disobey the law? Or is he ORDERING them to?
And are they just supposed to hear it on TV and act without something in writing?

This is becoming a farce. I blame the press. Obama is so used to the idea he can do or say anything without serious criticism from the press, he thinks he can just make up laws as he goes along, snap his fingers and everything will be fixed. DAMN the MSM.
