Planned Parenthood Action Fund has created a series of videos featuring tearful mothers who underwent late-term abortions to prevent the birth of their children who had medical problems. These are mothers who say they wanted a baby, but decided on abortion once the problems were diagnosed. The videos were produced in an attempt to derail late-term abortion bans—those after 20 weeks gestation.
In the first instance, the mom was told that the baby’s brain was malformed and, in her devastation, she decided to end her child’s life. The political ad then finds the mom saying that this has nothing to do with politics. “This has to do with decisions my husband and I needed to make.”
ALL staff member Dwain Currier was appalled upon discovering the videos. He did some preliminary research that revealed that children with the conditions described in the last two videos have very high survival rates, and pointed out that there was nothing in the presentations saying that the outlook was grim for any of these babies—just that the parents decided to abort them after the defects were uncovered.
One of the ads features a mom whose preborn child was diagnosed with a condition in which the child’s intestines were in a sac outside the abdomen—a condition known as an omphalocele. While some babies have other medical problems in addition to this, complete recovery from the omphalocele is expected after surgery.
Another of the children had what appears from the mom’s description to be a diaphragmatic hernia. The diaphragm had an abnormal opening, allowing the baby girl’s stomach and intestines entry into her chest cavity, displacing other organs. Though children with this defect almost always develop severe breathing difficulties, the heart and lungs can be temporarily bypassed to give the lungs time to expand and mature and, with proper repair and treatment, around 80 percent of children with this condition survive. Yet the mother says that her choices were to end the child’s life or give birth to a child that she would watch suffocate to death.
Planned Parenthood marches these moms out to evoke sympathy for the cause of defending late-term abortion.
How many parents are pre-programmed by Planned Parenthood indoctrination to default to abortion in the case of a preborn infant who is not 100 percent healthy?
“It is sad these mothers don’t have their children,” Currier said. “It’s satanic that Planned Parenthood uses them to promote killing babies because of a deformity.”

The abortion giant obviously knows no shame, and will resort to anything in order to ensure unfettered abortion right up to the time of delivery. That’s why Planned Parenthood pumped at least $300,000 into fighting a 20-week abortion ban that was before voters in Albuquerque, New Mexico, this week. Planned Parenthood’s sidekick, the ACLU, spent another $200,000 opposing the ban.

I hate to ask but what is hydroencephaly?
I can see it now, Suddenly they will be concerned with saving money after they have wasted and drained every $ possible.
I just binged hydroencephaly and oh my goodness pardon me for saying so that is freaky. I would never abort a kid not even for that but damn I’d be wanting to call Agents Mulder and Skully to see if aliens implanted me or something.
I see why the doctor told her to abort, he did not want her freaking out in the maternity ward. I can honestly see some parents going just that.
I also wonder how much pain those babies are in. To have the brain swelled up like that must be an one big headache.

As I understand it, hydroencephalic babies are not in pain.
I went to elementary school with a kid who had that. His head was huge, but he seemed to function normally.
I have to change my earlier reply. Apparently, hydroencephaly does cause pain. The kid I knew, however, did not seem to be in pain. He just looked odd.
They kill them, like Lauren Richardson’s mother tried to do. Luckily, Lauren’s father was able to intervene. Most “defectives” aren’t so lucky.

After a long 5 year wait my wife and I got pregnant (we came to know just yesterday).. Funny how the world works, those who want kids don’t get them... those who don’t and yet get pregnant knowingly, just abandon or abort them!!
btw, we were considering an adoption and we still are though.. there is just too much hurt in this world.

Know what’s really sad? 100 years ago, any one of the listed conditions should have died and there wouldn’t have been a thing any doctor in the world could do about it. But now so many of them have over a 2/3rds chance of survival instead of a 100% mortality rate.
In other words, the outcome of abortion never changes - “one dead and one wounded”, but the miracles of medicine HAVE changed the chances of so many lives. Yet Klanned Barrenhood would have us stuck in the 18th century where if your baby wasn’t perfectly healthy, the doctor might hand your husband a vial of morphine so he/she at least didn’t die in agony that he wouldn’t let his plow horse suffer through.
Everyone deserves a chance to be born and live and die.
Kill them while blaming it on society... or everyone but themselves.

Born at St. Vincent’s and told she wouldn’t live 24 hours.
And... if she did live, she would be severely brain damaged, would never walk.
She’s working on getting into Lehmann, Juilliard and other colleges in the fall.
She walks, has made me brain damaged (normal) and will be 18.
Oh, and St. Vincent’s is no more... which is terrible. I always visited and donated. No NICU in the world could beat them.
All those in the Village raised hell when St. Vincent’s closed after picketing them to death before, (now they know DeBlasio and Christine Quinn, their heroes had their hands in the Rudin real estate pie, backed intern approvals, etc. scum).
Besides San Fran, St. Vincent’s was the only place to take AIDS patients before anyone knew what it was.
But send in a few ‘activists’, with the ‘communities progress in mind’.
I had to tighten up a few youngsters re: gay history, Catholics and how many that were at Stonewall and led the gay movement died there or at the first AIDS hospice set-up by the church. But no, they wanted to force it down (someone’s) throat that they didn’t like church teaching and Sodom/Paul scripture twisting. Oh well, I bet they’re loving their champions HC plan right about now. The friends I have are flaming mad.
