Seattle’s newly elected Socialist councilwoman accused aerospace and defense giant Boeing on Monday of “economic terrorism” and told Boeing machinists they should consider taking “over the factories.” The Workers Should Take Over the Factory! Seattle Discovers Electing a Socialist Has Consequences

“The workers should take over the factories, and shut down Boeing’s profit-making machine,” Kshama Sawant told a group of activists in the city’s Westlake Park.

Sawant’s comments were made at a rally organized by machinists after they rejected a deal that would reduce pensions for union members in return for guaranteed jobs in Everett, Wash., building 777X Boeing airliners for eight years.

Now Boeing is considering taking those jobs elsewhere.

I hope she gets her way. Boeing will move to a right-to-work state.

Did ya know there are not more unionized government employees in today’s America than exist in private sector America?

My experience dealing with IAM would indicate they are communist/syndicalist.

How about the Boeing executives take up arms and put two in their newly 'elected' socialist representative, center mass..

You know, since we are all just throwing out radical ideas..

There are plenty of skilled workers in the south that would love to work for Boeing in a right to work state.

They can take over the factories when Boeing
moves to another state.

Maybe they can manufacture Widgins.

“The workers should take over the factories, and shut down Boeing’s profit-making machine,”

This idiot doesn’t realize that if business is killed there will be no money to pay the salaries of “less than useless” politicians.

WOT a MORON!

"I hope she gets her way. Boeing will move to a right-to-work state."

They already have and are continuing to do so. The Boeing machinists of Washington State are apparently dumber collectively than a box of rocks.

Kshama Sawant’s IQ would have to go up 50 points to achieve the rating of Stupid.

Hard to imagine, but the repubs have just taken control of the Washington State Senate and there is talk of passing a right to work law. Chances are slim but we’ll see.

A bit more about Comrade Sawant’s economic views (from wikipedia):

“In previous campaigns she has advocated the nationalization of large Washington State corporations such as Boeing, Microsoft, and Amazon.com”

“...expressed a desire to see privately owned housing in ‘Millonaire’s Row’ in the Capitol Hill neighborhood turned into publically owned shared housing saying, ‘When things are exquisitely beautiful and rare, they shouldn’t be privately owned.’”

She also apparently believes in something called “Transit Justice”, apparently meaning poor people shouldn’t have to pay to ride the bus. Or something.

Yes, the machinists should take over the factories and make what?? Boeing has been warning Seattle for a long time. Boeing in Seattle will go the way of Government Motors (GM).
Seattle deserves what they vote.

Yeah; that worked out so well...

Do these people have the faintest clue about what's involved in turning a profit?
Securing contracts, designing products, a million logistical steps to lay out the manufacturing process...no, you just show up to work, punch a clock and take credit for the whole thing.

Just like the Bolsheviks thought all you needed to farm was the plow, this parasite thinks all it takes to make planes is the equipment. I bet without the management not a single plane could be produced, at least not one anyone would fly in.

Certainly-— the workers control the means of production.
