Full title:
Weapons of war: Inside America's secret 'bomb library' housing 100,000 IEDs from Afghanistan and Iraq to hunt down terrorists
It's a nondescript warehouse on the outskirts of Washington D.C., but hidden inside are the remains of 100,000 explosives specifically designed to harm U.S. troops.
America's secret 'bomb library' holds many of the improvised explosive devices (IEDs) which have killed hundreds of military personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks.
They've been collected to help identify individual bomb makers and to develop high-tech responses.
The Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC) at the FBI Lab was set up about 10 years ago as a weapons archive.
The secret FBI facility stores in cardboard boxes the ball bearings, shrapnel, wires, circuit boards, melted cell phones and cordless base stations which were turned into deadly weapons.
...
Each IED has its own computer case file, which states the location and date it was detonated or located and if there were any casualties.
The IED packages are piled into 3,500 stacked into five-foot-tall white boxes in the FBI warehouse.
About 800 IEDs are delivered each month from Afghanistan and about 20 other countries.

Wouldn’t it be cheaper to change the rules of engagement so that we win? F Mooslim collateral damage. Rain holy hell and damnation upon our enemies and win. There would be fewer IEDs and the world would be safer. Our treasury would be more secure as well.
That would violate two foundational principles of liberal thought:
1) You should never respond to an attack with greater force. That would be ‘unfair.’
2) Battlefields are just really big crime scenes. Our soldiers are cops who should make arrests without any casualties. Our ‘enemies’ are just petty criminals from disadvantaged backgrounds who deserve full constitutional rights regardless of cime, motivation or nationality.
you forgot the sarcasm tag on that :)
Let’s just call it what it is:
In house/country terrorist training center for those that were brought over here like happened after WWII w/nazis.
Bomb making is only limited by the imagination.
Are we sure this isn’t the place where the brainstorming for ObieCare was done?
