Because I know several Freepers have been following these findings with interest.

Millennia and 10’s of millions of years are two very different things. Being a young earther I have no problem with this and it just shows that the science supports my view.

I blame someone using one of these:

So... these dinosaurs, fair to say they had an iron constitution?

The major glaring fault in the article is the false assumption that dinosaurs lived millions and millions of years ago, when in fact, dinosaurs lived a few thousand years ago.

Hmmmm. Iron acts as a preservative.
Importantly, Schweitzer and her colleagues have figured out how to remove the iron from their samples, which enables them to analyze the original proteins. They've even seen chemical reactions consistent with the presence of DNA, though Schweitzer is quick to note that she and her colleagues haven't proven that DNA is actually present.
Oh, yeah. Oooh, ahhh, that's how it always starts...
I think we've all seen how this movie ends.
... Then later there's running and screaming

“According to newly published research, iron in the dinosaur’s body preserved the tissue before it could decay”
I’m not buying it. The thought is that the iron in the blood creates radicals (highly reactive molecules) that destroy microbes responsible for degradation. The problem is that radicals are non specific and will react with just about any organic molecule. If that is the case they should also have degraded the proteins and other soft tissue. In addition, radicals produce characteristic types of damage to organics and it should be possible to determine if that has taken place.
