Young people have bailed on Obama. Why that matters a lot.

One of President Obama's chief political assets has been his ability to excite young people like almost no politician in history. But the days of America's youth fawning over the president are over.

A new Harvard University Institute of Politics poll released Wednesday confirms what other surveys have shown in recent months: Millennials have soured on Obama so much this year that their opinion of him largely mirrors the American public's.

Agree. They need to experience a hellish world of their own making. Without conservatives to blame and pay for their excesses, a pure liberal community would self-destruct in short order.

Due to irreconcilable cultural, economic and philosophical differences between libs and conservatives, some form of secession seems inevitable. Its not hard to guess which side would be the ultimate winner as a societal model.

Sometimes the only solution is to let liberals burn their own cities to the ground with mismanagement as an example, and hope there are enough intelligent voters to notice causation

*********

That may be a bridge too far. lol

They’ll glom onto the next socialist, natural law rejecting, gimmee free stuff democrat faster than a drug-addled single mother gets a new sex partner.

No.

That is the wrong approach.

They are kids, they are enmeshed in academia who tell them whom to vote for.

Raise the voting age to 21.

Period.

Or, Obama just tells them more lies they want to hear, and want to believe, and they'll be right back on board.

I do think they’re done with Obama.

Won’t matter, they’re still socialist.

They’ll go whole hog for the next democrat, who, as a surprise to the GOP, will attack Obama and could be worse.

Raise the voting age.

I’m not convinced she won’t run, but I am convinced that Chelsea will have a precisely timed pregnancy to coincide with the 2016 election. And, the corrupt MSM will be on pins and needles detailing every single crumb of information on Chelsea’s pregnancy — similar to Kate Middletons. Bank on it!

In fact, if Chelsea could time it so she has the baby the day or week before the election would not surprise me one bit. With the Clintons, absolutely nothing is wasted when it comes to advancing their political interests, no person, no event, nothing.

Hillary’s main constituency is loud, older women. Young people just joke about her, as they joke about everything else.

Hence yesterday’s Obama speech, which sounded as if it could have come straight from an Occupy camp.

A mark of sheer desperation IMO.

Prediction: Hillary will not run, simply because for one of two reasons, by 2016, she will either have health issues or focus her new title: grandmother.

The grandmother thing is what she'd like to soften her image as the venomous shrew that she is. That won't stop her from running at all.

If 0bama and the 'rats don't have the "yute" vote in 2014, the Senate goes to the 'pubs; at least that kills 0bozo's agenda thru 2016.

Exactly... and it's not necessary to win over the whole demographic.

“Youts” are far more socially liberal than would align with the GOP. They perceive the GOP/conservatives as old scolds. We’re just NOT cool.

They are generally LIbertarian. That is why Republican'ts need to stop being so reflexively hostile toward Libertarians, whose small-government ideas largely overlap conservative ideas.

The days of the two-party oligarchy in this country are numbered. People hate both major parties, and it's getting worse for them daily. It will soon be necessary for alliances to be built.

And considering marijuania use is becoming more legal and prevalent, many of these 20 something coach potatoes are just going to not care. 2014? Are you kidding me? They don’t do mid-term elections.

Consider though, that something could happen (civil unrest/ false flag event) and martial law ensues whereby the elections are suspended.

I've read statements much like this every election cycle since I joined this forum in 1998.

Thus far, the number of times that civil unrest, a false flag event, or martial law has occurred causing elections to be suspended: ZERO.

Posts like this create nothing but FUD amongst the weak minded and are used by FR's detractors to point to this forum as nothing but a bunch of whack-jobs.

Are you here to create the impression that FR is nothing but a bunch of whack-jobs?

There are a ton of scenarios as to how the millennials get bitten by zercare, but here’s the juiciest one: parents have been paying 150.00/mo or so for kids insurance, kid’s probably not even aware of it. ‘Kid’ meaning person over 18 who’s still in school.

Parents get their employer-provided insurance switched, and the new premium for kid is now $342, inform kid he will have to start paying it, or will be dropped right now during open enrollment. Kid says he can’t afford it, parents drop him and kid STILL has to go out and buy a policy.

Multiply this by 50 million families.
